Great song! Can't wait for the movie July 15
i actually like the song tbqh
What did he mean by this?
ffs, Pete
THEY'RE FUCKING UP EVERYTHING EVEN THE FUCKING SONG
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
song is catchy what's the problem?
>REEEEE EVERYTHING IS NEW!
It's not catchy what the fuck are you smoking?
It's shit. I liked the song from the first trailer though. Hope it's gonna be released as well.
Not really, sounds like every other FOB song musically, and it uses the same lyrics from the original.
>I'm not afraid >I'm not afraid >I'm not afraid >I'm not afraid >I'm not afraid >I'm not afraid >I'm not afraid >Ghostbusters >I'm not afraid >I'm not afraid >I'm not afraid >I'm not afraid>I'm not afraid
Oh fuck this
If you didn't grow up in the mid-2000s listening to Fall Out Boy/blink-182/Sum 41, you are a nu-male who will never understand them.
Sounds great, I need to remember to book my tickets for July 15th
>barely legal little shit calls others nu-males while trying to be a tryhard on his personal 4chin
nice dubs, though
only cool part was pre-chorus
also amusing they needed a black woman in the theme too, missy elliot was pretty cool back in the day though.
nothing try-hard about the truth desu.
>One of the band members is literally wearing a fedora
>B-but your a nu-male if you don't like them.
Sounds like sissified 2000s-punk to me.
Samefag
We called it screamo/emo
I called it shit
I grew up in the mid 2000s. I listened to Rammstein, System of a Down, and ICP. FOB was for GIRLS. That's why these fags got brought on by Sony for nuGhostbusters.
this guy is right
I kek'd
>Fallout Boy
What is it 2008 again?
You all realize that this hate campaign is helping this movie. Wouldn't be surprised if shills are stirring shit for views (ad money) and easy advertising through controversy
>ICP
and ICP is for fucking spergs
I don't know if insulting a key demographic is good marketing
it's pop-punk. not traditional punk.
Nope, it's a damage control technique.
>Say that the opposition is helping you by virute of their opposition. The goal is to get them to stop being vocal.
It's gay is what it was
go to bed grandpa.
>Rammstein, System of a Down, and ICP
>implying that's any better
>faggotboy
>shit182
>cum42
No user you are the numale
They should have just done a cover of Extreme Ghostbuster's opening.
youtube.com
Will we see Bill Murray commit suicide this year?
hello underage, go listen to your Foster the People CD
From the studio that brought you rapping Electro
I also grew up in the mid 2000's, and listened to all those bands (except for ICP because I'm not a dumb fucking hick). What's the matter user, never take an emo girl to a FOB concert and finger her in the back? Cause that's what I was doing nigger.
>growing up during the blink/sum41 era
>barely legal
How old are you? 7? Clearly you fucking suck at basic arithmetic.
>"Fallout Boy ft Misst Elliot"
lmao
He specifically said mid-2000s era
ICP
>2008
more like 2004
Limp Bizkit era is best era
>fingered her in the back
You mean like her butthole
what's wrong with being a teenager in the early 2000s?
When I said growing up, I meant teen years. That's when people usually get into music. Teen years.
straight up the fucking spinal cord
I always assumed that to be the cast. Any band with "boy" in the title seemed pretty faggy. Back street BOYS. New KIDS on the block. All that shit.
When I was younger I listened to Rage Against the Machine, Bodom, Lamb of God, all that edgier shit.
Grown up. But god damn is FOB still faggy.
look at Bill Murray laughing at these degenerate's faces.
youtube.com
Not as faggy as being a dressed in all black loser listening to shit like Children of Bodom and Lamb of God in middle school and high school.
Know how I know you weren't popular?
**Edit
>If you grew up in the mid-2000s listening to Fall Out Boy/blink-182/Sum 41, you are a nu-male who will never understand them.
That's how you foreplay before ypu mindfuck someone
>Fall out Boy aren't prime nu male faggotry
Not sure how to tell you this but nu males love non threatening pop rock
I take serious offense to you lumping in that queer emo shit Fall Out Boy in with some perfectly acceptable skater punk Blink and Sum 41.
Fall Out Boy in the 2004 era was My Chemical Romance tier whiny trash. Straight emo shit through and through.
literally nothing Emo about FoB or MCR
>FOB was for girls
Pretty much this.
whatever, i like it. it's catchy.
It's really not. The whole "any publicity is good publicity" isn't 100% true.
Emo detected.
>b-but Gerard Way said they weren't emo!
MCR was cookie cutter emo.
Take This To Your Grave - 8/10
From Under The Cork Tree - 9/10
Infinity on High - 8.5/10
Folie à Duex - 10/10
Save Rock And Roll - 8/10
American Beauty/American Psycho 7.5/10
>Fall Out Boy
>Missy Elliot
Is it 2004? Seriously, this movie has to have a huge budget and they want to sell tickets, so why would they use bands that most people only have vague memories of.
So excited, this is gunna be the best movie of the summer! XD
FoB still has a decent following.
I think most people just hear Helena and see long black hair when they think of MCR.
he isn't even trying to hide his disgust
its hilarious
>posting things from albums after 2005
Its like you aren't even paying attention.
I guess you're right. I haven't heard much of their stiff since Sugar We're Going Down was big, but I guess that's my fault for being an old fuck.
MCR was emo because all of their major singles were emo as fuck. It's kinda like how people think of Greenday as poppunk because of songs like November Ends and Time of Your Life.
Emo got them popular and money. Forget about their b sides and the rest of their albums because most people have never heard them.
I'm conflicted, they actually took some chances with this song. You can tell they actually tried to make a decent/original song despite the odd, awfully corporate artistic pairing they found themselves in, and gave it their all. At the same time the end result is just bizarre and in many senses a terrible song. I don't know how to feel about this.
That album was made to make them big
The next two after that were made for the fans. (Infinity and Folie) (Folie was also a huge flop)
The most recent two are radio pop songs.
Haven't heard these?
They were pretty big singles.
youtube.com
This is the shit people remember when they say FOB is emo. This is what they used to be. There was a clear paradigm shift around 2008 though.
I love that album, it's a maybe a little emo-punk but it's not pure wrist-cutting edge lord emo. Their music was always somewhat upbeat and catchy.
Also best song coming through:
I fully sent the mp3 of that song that I downloaded off of KaZaA to a girl I had a crush on that had a boyfriend at the time in like 2004.
This is not fiction. I was that much of a loser.
Underage Wikipedia faggot, are you retarded? Growing up every emo kid listened to MCR, FOB, Panic At the Disco, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, etc. If it looks like a cat and meows like a cat...
>KaZaA
goddamn, that's a thing that i haven't heard mentioned in a long ass time
>preordering a soundtrack
>folder full of costanza.gif
Fan Bases have nothing to with the band.
You're right, the fan bases were fucking horrible, I remember.
But the bands themselves weren't Emo.
8/10 bait
yaaay finally my dream of having ghostbusters, fall out boy, and women comedians is fully realized now i can die of aids in peace.
This argument kind of boils down to "What's more important, the way the artist perceives his art, or how it's perceived by the consumer?"
There is no objective answer because both arguments are valid.
holy shit it's almost a 20 thousand lead
>It's a "Sup Forums unironically likes pop-punk" episode
This is sad.
early pre-sweet revenge MCR doesn't count, that's before they got popular.
Man, for being 65, Bill Murray looks really fucking old.
lol I bet you were bullied by kids who listened to blink-182.
Nigga, post-pop-punk-metal can be bretty good, and it's even better if you just listen to it and sing along without reading into what it means or what other people think about it.
>There is no objective answer because both arguments are valid.
I'd say that there is an objective answer:
What the rest of the world says, especially if we're talking about vaguely defined things like musical subgenres and not more rigorously defined (like a song that's a waltz is a fucking waltz irrespective of what anyone claims).
>Panic! at the Disco
>Emo in the slightest
2/10
it's generic shit. It's neither original nor catchy, it's just bad.
>Liking Fall Out Boys
pop punk is good, if you don't think so you're a fun hating retard
youtube.com
Opinions
God I remember this song.
That's some good shit.
No, I love fun, I just hate shitty music m8
2bh desu, pop-punk is fun.
By the time that album came out emo was dying. Stuff from Fever had emo influences though. youtube.com
