You need to start differentiating between necessity and luxury immediately. If you can get all your necessities- gas, electric, water, food, toothpaste, toilet paper etc. only then can you start to look at luxuries like even broadband. Sit down and work out how much you can afford to waste each week. Discount stores and charity shops are great places for the hard up- and if you find yourself with all your money for the next month at once, you will make sizable savings if you can shop at any wholesale warehouses- like Costco.

Dude, we live in the same country and I left the house with 2000$ to live on my own and It was far from being hard compared to many country I travelled to. Kick your own but and stop being the faillure your parents were happy to get rid of when you first packed your bags.

Live in an older house on 16 acres in the country, have a 2 car garage and a barn. Hunt and fish when I can. Grow all my own vegetables and a bit of weed just for personal use. Preserve a lot of food to save on grocery bill. Heat my house with wood i cut off my own land. Mortgage is $600 a month so I'm left with a pile of disposable income
