What is the most god tier dessert and why is it baklava?

>only the messiest of desserts for the greasiest of europoors

tiramisu is win
bananas foster is win
gelato is win
sticky toffee pudding is win
loukoumades are win

...

>tiramisu
This is way the fuck up there for me as well.

never tried any of that. never even heard of any of that

Fuck baklava. Shit tastes like a goddamn wallet every time.

Like a goddamn wallet? I'm not even sure what to make of that.

That's two of you so far who hate on baklava. The fuck is wrong with y'all?

Toffee pecan meringue roulade, the cultured and sophisticated choice.

Any other dessert is utter shit compared.

too bland. its only like 3 to 4 ingredients, none of which give it any flavor.

Baklava a shit

Ekmek is superior Greek dessert

The simplicity is part of its appeal for me tbh. The nuts and honey with the texture of the filo really does it for me.

Apple Strudel. Anything else can go fuck itself.

Actual peasants dessert.

Any uncultured mook can grab one for a buck at his local mcdonalds.

This isn't apple pie or apple turnover, it's Strudel. Better than baklava in every way.

>mfw no pecan pie

...

My buddy's gf makes the sickest tiramisu.

fuck strudel

Eton mess.
Nothing even comes close.

YESS Throw back to high school

Can we get some non western desserts in this thread?

now we're talking!

>Eton mess

How is this not just a parfait?

tiramisu is god tier, no arguing. the rest tho, I have no strong opinions.

No because non western desserts are shit and their only appeal is they look cool

Case in point.

Because it's whipped cream, meringue and raspberries crushed and mixed together.

Sounds like a parfait except someone was too lazy to make custard so just threw some old meringue in there instead.

Tiramisu.
