That dawning realization that trap music is the glam metal of our time

>that dawning realization that trap music is the glam metal of our time

It's not a realization if you just made that shit up

As much as I dislike rap, I'll rather take trap than glam metal all day any day.

Vapidly hedonistic lyrics and a significant emphasis on appearances.

>I want to rock and roll all night, and party every day x5

>I fuck on your baby mama, I fuck on your baby mama x5

>that dawning realization that OP is a tremendous faggot.

I always thought the glam metal of our time were groups like Blood on the Dance Floor, down to the crossdressing and target audience.

I don't know what trap is.

The same could be said about any commercially successful genre.

It's okay, our dads defended glam to death as much as we do/will trap.

...

Whats wrong with glam metal? Do you have a problem with commercial music? It's not even trendy anymore to hate on glam metal, it's not 1991, so what are you doing?

>Whats wrong with glam metal?
Nothing, which is related to my point. I don't have an issue with trap either. It's just that they've both fulfilled their respective generational niches in many similar ways.

So what's the target audience?

nu-males

Suburban middle-class males, like glam

Trap sounds good though

People have been saying this

I'm guessing hip hop's nirvana will come sometime around 2020

If not and it remains trap its a wrap hip hop is done for

To be more accurate trap is more metal in general

glam metal was really just pop metal

like how stuff like Rae Srremdiggur is just pop trap

probably later this year id say. the underground florida scene is on the come up

after trap is dead, what awful trend will replace it?

dungeon synth rap

Rec me some Florida shit senpai, I need to have my hipster cred ready for when this gets big

>that dawning realization that OP is 100% right.

basically every rapper with a nojumper interview, xtentacion, smokepurrp the list goes on

XXXtennisballs is not the equivalent of that at all seeing as how he uses all the production styles and flows of a regular trap rapper

>Underground Florida scene

No

Denzel Curry is making the trap equivalent of some slightly harder metal

People like bones and XXXtentacles will be influential but super corny in retrospect and near unlistenable like most early heavy metal.

It even has the trademark try-hard edginess that is transparent as fuck especially with people like Bones and Suicideboys
