Perfect example desu

dumb ghettoposter

Who was in the right between sergeant marine and private autism?

DUDE R LEE ERMEY SWEARING LMAO

I get the whole "artistic vision" transition into the second part of the film, but damn that first half was great. Wish it was a whole movie. Seeing Pyle's decent into madness instead of an instant transformation would have made great cinema

All fucking niggers must fucking hang.

A little more than 30, but it did turn to shit at some point.

If you think only the first half of Full Metal Jacket is good, you just don't get it.

The New World

Last 30 minutes of Sunshine suck

i like the second half

the second half is better

wrong, although the hallucination sequence is a bit janky

>things only retarded plebs say about film

the sergeant was just doing his thing, it's obviously not personal

they should have joined the army anyway, marines are queers

What's so good about the Vietnam part? It just turns into a generic war flick.

does it physically hurt to be so dumb that you can't connect the overarching themes of ego and dehumanization?

>a boring movie is good because it has "deep themes"

In the category "things only plebs say".

I'll bite.

Joker is an interesting character because you see him get broken down, built up, and then broken down once again by the horrors of war. There is allegory aplenty, there's a colorful cast of characters, there's visually interesting cinematography (the shot where all of the marines look like corpses at first), and good fight scenes. The second half is great if not better.

the firefight at the end wasn't boring at all, it's intense.

The middle part is kind of boring, but it builds anticipation. Overall, the movie is a solid 7/10

Yeah the ending was good. I would have fucked that sniper chick.

it doesn't turn to shit, it just turns into a war movie which are comparatively shit.

Keep watching capeshit.

>Ermey basically pushed himself into the role of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman by plugging himself in to the role and forcing Kubrick to watch him in it until the actual actor chosen was given a new role

How different would the movie had been without Ermey as the gunny?

No

great fucking movie senpai, literally 2deep4u

>Sir, yes sir!
>I bet they regret that.

It cracks me up every time.
