Where my early 90s industrial metal at

...

I bought a Demanufacture t-shirt a few years ago and it's still one of my favorites, even if I weened off FF entirely. It's just such a badass cover.

I've listened to Into the Dark Past and it was pretty damn good.

...

...

not only was the the debut from one of the best Brutal technical Death metal bands out there, but this album provides the first rendition of a traditional "breakdown" and more or less singlehandedly birthed the brutal technical death metal genre into popularity.

not to mention the sick cover art done by Dan Seagrave, which this album also made him popular around the death metal scene

lol haven't heard/thought about them in decades,

La dispute, somewhere at the bottom of the river between vega and altair

great album, expecting big things from them in the future.

...

...What the fuck am I looking at.

...

good choices

The early stuff from Pitch Shifter is actually good, unlike that lobotomized 'Pitchshifter' shit.

Submit is an EP by the British band Pitchshifter

sad that there new album is kinda meh

Holy shit, finally someone who gets that Maiden was 80% Bruce and Adrian

this album kicked off the start to something fucking amazing

...

Did you know that Saxon is going on tour with UFO next year?

love it,

...

Accident of Birth and The Chemical Wedding have mostly been forgotten by most metal fans, but they still stand as amazing albums i think.

Hell yeah it did. I didn't get into grindcore until this year, but man oh man am I so glad I did.

You know if they're hitting up anywhere near Pennsylvania?

ITT: newfags post their latest crush and claim its god tier.

Protip: god tier is reserved for albums that defined a genre or moved the whole planet. Not some obscure fag hipster shit that sold 5000 copies

>>listening to emo shit ever

youtube.com/watch?v=VMsl4GzqPdI

So fucking good.

...

...

Those two albums came out when metal was at it's worst. Accient of Birth is the best album of 1997, and The Chemical Wedding is the best of 1998.

Metal is shit

haven't heard this yet but i hear it's fucking fantastic

...

Gayest kyuss album

It is.

Oh Lord, it is.

Wow, great argument man! I actually have to look into this some more. Maybe i have listened to shit my entire life? I guess i'll switch it out with some pop music. Thanks for opening my eyes.

Off to gulag with you. It is NOT.

i mostly just buy albums for the cool covers

hell fucking yeah dude

then by your logic, Niki Minaj's Anaconda or Beiber's Baby or Disney's Let it Go must be revolutionary since it moved hundreds of millions of people
This thread is for albums that deserve a god tier for being musically advanced, be it 50000 copies or 500 copies that the album fucking sold

If you were an Iron maiden fan in the 80s, and you were to listen to Accident Of Birth, and The X Factor, without knowing, which would you say was the Iron Maiden album?

That was some of the most generic, boring shit I've ever listened to.

you sound like the game who likes metal meme pages on facebook

this reminds me of 25 years ago

Off to gulag. Cyka blyat

Those all are really really good pieces of music you named, dingus, that's why they sold millions

Oh damn, Jim Thrope? I could make that. Thanks, user!

Honestly? I can't find any examples to refute this. I have to agree

>would you expect a pornogrind album to go double platinum? no
>can it define a genre? yes
>can it be god tier? yes

>pic related

...

either this or let it bloom

...

So the thread title should say 'wannabe god tier albums, but dont really stand out enough to get noticed'

Yes. Lots of these albums are very good but there has to be a line in the sand somewhere for god tier. Kyuss is definately on the mortal side of that line no matter how much you stamp your feet.

Whoracle came out in '97, Sound of Perseverance in '98, so no.

...

.......still waiting

...

...

Accident of Birth without a doubt.
I tried looking too, but i was unable to find anything better. Bruce Dickinson kept metal alive when it was down.

reposting from prev thread

kys.

you all need to check this out if you havnt already.

band is pretty average, but this album is solid

Just passing on the word.
