For one, about 95% of their content isn't original, but copied from other, genuinely funny and creative people. Any popular meme has its origin on an imageboard like this ("don't talk to my son or me ever again" would be an exception). It's the issue with any site that isn't anonymous - people care too much for social brownie points.
