then you have the elections, first round you have everyone (conservative, liberal, communist, socialist, nationalist, etc etc) pitted against each other in free for all
then the best 2 candidates go to the second round where the one who gets majority becomes president
usually it ends up 49%vs51% but sometimes parties ally against the FN like in 2002 where it went 80%conservative vs 20% nationalist, it won't be as bad this time maybe 60/40 but they'll still ally

What about a "you have to come back" law? They won't be stateless.
It allows you to vote for the "less bad" of the two if your original party didn't make it through the first round. For example a communist might not see its party go to the second round, but once there he would rather be able to vote for a socialist party than a right wing party.
