At the end they applaud. That counts as a reaction.
Literally every type of music humanity has ever created on earth, from death metal to classical music to Mongolian throat vocals to African ooga booga percussions is widely enjoyed and consumed in Japan.
Foreigners tend to think Japanese only listen to J-pop or idol music after seeing our hit charts are dominated by them but that's just because only fans of those types of music buy CDs nowadays to help their favorite group "win" the popularity competition among idols.

Not sure how far Japanese music goes.
Is this?

basically yeah but I was hoping for punk using traditional Japanese instruments influenced by Japanese folk music rather than western folk punk with Japanese vocals
Plus it's not really punk but whatever, close enough.
Do only Germanics listen to this shit?
What you posted are basically just generic moody pop with some Germanic spice added in them.
German/Dutchboos in Japan sure love them.
>generic moody pop
Can you post an example? I'm kind of curious.
