He's from New Zealand, not India, but it's very peaceful music with quite a lot of Sitar. His first two Albums in particular are fantastic if you like this kind of music.

There are two main types of Indian classical music: Hindustani and Carnatic. Ravi played Hindustani, so you should look for more sitar players who have been trained in the Hindustani tradition.
