i'm so patrician!

it's paster, doot.
I kno RITE? it's not too bad...

I'm surprised that more people don't realize how letterboxd kiddies and their contrarian opinions are ruining this board. Not the site itself, but the people that use the generals are tryhard cancer and they're really easy to spot because they throw their opinion on others and expect it to be respected and obeyed as if it's law.

This is the most patrician user on letterboxd

>room 237, anything higher 1/2 stars
>babbies first existenial film in the top four
>mobile poster

*sigh*

Exactly it is so fucking pathetic. Everyone knows it sucks, you don't even have to watch the trailer to know that, yet this faggot bothers to do so anyway, only to earn cred from his homosexual pleb internet friends.

>*discussion*
>implying any meaningful or insightful discussion happens in these cancerous threads

now THAT is funny!

This is literally what you faggots REALLY do in these threads, NOT discuss films but discuss letterboxd homosexuals. Funny thing is you don't care at all about the films you claim to watch, you only do so as a means to circle jerk with other homosexuals from /lbg/.

See this here? Follow for follow? Is this fucking youtube, you social media loving faggot? Letterboxd has to be the worst thing to happen to the internet film community.

>muh internet circle jerk

I am serious too. Jackieray/hbk & his faggot boyfriends from irc always use this place for shitposting.

Jackieray is banned rn lmao

Don't reply to low effort posters. Your life will improve because of it.

Low effort posts.

then how did you post this, Jackieray?

Greater than Mann. If only I understood Cantonese.

>city of god
kino
yeah thank you instead for this terrific high effort post!

>rate all parts of the decalogue under 5 stars
>rate the whole thing 5 stars

Not the same.

Never mention that show ever again.

The dream sequences from Johnny got his gun were pretty good

I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE

That's Oliver Stone for you.

Why ignore 'them'?

steakbro, i thought i told you to stop posting screenshots
i want you to read and understand the following books before you can start posting again

>photography - the art of composition
>creative composition - digital photography tips & techniques
>the essential guide to portraits

these should get you well on your way to getting a fucking clue about aesthetics and composition in general

cry harder

>le books
Any frame is a valid frame

This. Every frame has a purpose. If it doesn't then why even bother shooting.

Because they're just trying to get a rise out of you. Why bother wasting your time?

I'm pretty sure that was directed at steakbro. Are blind to him avatar fagging constantly with blurry shot of ceilings or floors?

that was another user but yeah you're right regardless

follow me, machill54, the try-hard pseud

Guys, please keep this thread alive. It's more and more depressing out there, this is the only thread where people even pretend to like movies anymore. The only other thread worth posting in is the white dick one, that's sad.

don't tell me what to do

but there's no point in coming to this place since it no longer self-polices

>I'm not obsessed with jackieray I promise!
At least try to speak to a woman, saikuck.

letterboxd.com/Synt/

Hey anons who were asking about The Red and the White & Day for Night - did you watch them? What did you think?

I've almost finished Bresson's filmography, Pickpocket was the most recent one I watched and after mulling it over for a while it didn't sit with me as good as his other films. I feel very disappointed with it.

Maybe you should have done it chronologically. Or maybe not, but Pickpocket is 8/10

who's this "saikuck"? did he break your heart?

*farts*

*farts*

Is anyone else here more of an optimist for the future of cinema than for the future of movies?

chill on the starchy foods goddamn

What did he mean by this?

That's what I want to know!
And what of kino?

what movie should I go see?

What's playing?

GREGORY'S GIRL WHEN

The Shallows
Independence Day
Willy Wonka

The independent theater is having a Chantal Akerman marathon but Fandango doesn't cover them

The Neon Demon

misquoted

I was hoping it wouldn't come to that but summer has been awful this year.

Neon demon seems a better option than the 3 listed here

Please don't see Independence Day. It's underperforming and I want it see it flop.

It's at least bombing where I live.
