Who would be the perfect band if you could pick anyone from any band
>pic may be related but not related
can someone please explain to me how this hack ended up being concidered one of the GOAT?
he perfected glam/hard rock riffs imo i cant think of one day riff or solo from him
bad*
He is a very solid rocknroll guitar player and has an image that attracts image-obsessed teenagers who still haven't matured enough to listen to music for the music rather than the image that it projects.
I mean, Mr. Big is already perfect.
To answer the fucking question:
Vocals: Bjork and T-Rez

would be /wank/core
He has a good ear for melody and his phrasing works well in the context of their songs
Zach Hill - Drums
Ron Jarzombek - Lead Guitar
Colin Marston - Bass Guitar
Greg Puciato - Vocals

Literally just King Crimson - Red's lineup but Greg Lake instead of John Wetton.
And I guess Belew can come along for the ride, too.
The perfect band already existed.
>Pete Townshend
>Roger Daltrey
>John Entwistle
>Keith Moon
Close to the Edge's lineup but with Greg Lake to replace Jon Anderson.
Jesus fuck, Anderson's carcinogenic vocals and godawful lyrics singlehandedly ruined Close to the Edge for me.
>inb4 "hurr durr prog lyrics are always shit"
Only babbies whose first prog song was Roundabout say this.
Vocals: Jeff Buckley
Guitar: David Gilmour
Drums: the two drummers from King Gizzard
Bass: unsure, don't mind too much

bass - Jaco Pastorius (playing jazzy bassline like JPJ did in Zeppelin)

Bass: Sid Vicious
Drums: Lars Ulrich

Levin - Chapman Stick
Bruford - Drums
Cross - Violin
10/10 line up
Then why did they make such shit music? And don't try to say they did m8, I've heard boris the fucking spider.
If you heard Boris and didn't enjoy it, there's no helping you. You have been consumed by the EDGY. I'm sorry, user. Godspeed.
He created some of the most memorable guitar riffs and solos in rock music history. It's not all about muh tecknikul skillz
You have no soul.
John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Keith Moon
...
He's not a hack, he's genuinely good and has written some great Rock music. He's just not original and has an extremely generic tone and playing style to go with it.
But when it comes to standard Hard/Blues- Rock and wanky pentatonic soloing he's one of the best in the business.
Throw in Eric Clapton and there's a halfway decent band.
>he's not a hack
>he's just not original yet very successful
What did he mean by this?
I'd certainly give that a listen.
I feel like Fripp and Herb wouldn't get along or play well together. If it worked, I'm sure it would be glorious, but I don't see it working.
Ugh. I bit.
I really want to hear Phronesis play with the Avishai Cohen Trio (as it was during Gently Disturbed, anyway), but I can't really imagine a band with two drummers, two bassists, and two pianists working. If they could pull it off though (without taking the tame route that Jasper took with Fellow Creatures), it'd be fucking glorious!
