that's the internet's fault. it gives us the chance to see and potentially meet many more amputees than we could hope to encounter in our normal lives.
but it also means there's more competition for every amputee. they all know that there are guys who are really into them and the ones with any online presence get contacted constantly.
there's also a lot of misinformation and many of them think it's about being attracted to the amputation and not them.

I think most guys with an amputee fetish would still be interested in a normal relationship on top of that though.
