Write a good song, apparently

Can't wait for his knighthood, Sir Noel Gallagher everyone.

YES YES

HOWEVER

Also, Liam co-wrote Don't look back in anger

Something original

t. billy the bitter bedroom guitarist

Mick Jagger never got knighted. What makes you think this prick will be?

Jagger is knighted though

>tfw your poisonous influence has done irreparable damage to British rock music

>tfw you kill of shoegaze

you could say the same about kurt cobain and american rock music

well Duh. Wonder why I never him refereed to as Sir Mick. I always hear Paul and Elton refereed to as "Sir". But never hear Mick refereed to as his title...weird

Lowfrequency?

Say it with me, 'SIR, NOEL, GALLAGHER'.

t. Liam

Oasis didn't have the staying power of the Bands or Artists where the lead singer got Knighthood. They certainly didn't have the impact of The Beatles nor the longevity of the Rolling Stones or Elton John.

it actually wasn't this time

Noel is the most relevant here in bongland out of all of them, gets mentioned in papers or radio everyother week it seems. McCartney still gets a razzle but Jagger and John have faded out pretty heavily here due to there affinity for the states.

Oasis were as close as you can get to The Beatles for most of Gen Y here.

Who was the last man to get Knighthood? Just a yank who is curious.

Ken Dodd, probably
They're handed out pretty regularly though

I reckon they would have been knighted if it wasn't for them sticking to their council estate roots during their rise and openly admitting drug use, getting into fights daily, and all of that.

From 94 to 97 they were on the front page daily.
Noel was still on the front page the day Princess Diana was killed... that's how big they were back then.

I'm not sure, they give them out all the time except there's certain levels and tiers to them aswell, they also give out lots of honourary knighthoods to non commonwealth citizens, except you're not allowed to call yourself Sir unless you're a commonwealth citizen.

It's actually quite confusing.

Yeah, seeing Oasis never really got that big in America alot of Americans don't realise how big Oasis were.

They award them at the start of the year and on the monarch's birthday. 22 basic knighthoods were made in January 2017.

Bryn Terfel the opera singer got one this year.

Why isn't Keith sir Keith?

Oasis is shit-tier

I'd like to see that frontpage. Which newspaper was it?

Just one line. It's a great line though

Write good songs

Prevent the 9/11.

oasis is so fucking bad, like all the shit people give U2, oasis deserves that tenfold, no fucking clue why people like them, complete rubbish

just like youre grammar

Potato

who's hyped for the solo album?

it's going to be BAOTY

Not even the best britpop guitarist and songwriter

sorry *are cry me a wonderwall

>This is what plebs actually believe.
Oasis are patrician.
It's the "cool" opinion to dislike them within music circles.

People pick up a guitar and start learning how to play, within about a week they're saying, "Huh! Wonderwall hurrr durrr"... As if they could ever dream of writing a song like that.

Oasis are patrician, don't be fooled.

Liam apparently wrote the chorus of Columbia
