The only things that could even possibly reflect Obama's performance as president are money printing and federal debt, but the federal debt ignores the tremendous decrease in the federal deficit (which reflects "getting our house in order before having guests over, " as is a common phrasing used by conservative US americans.

Furthermore, my point was that Obama had little to do with house-ownership falling. More people live in apartments now because apartments are more common in the populous areas of the US than ownable houses, because it's cheaper to do short-term, and because it leaves more open the option for being able to up-and-leave to travel, or transfer jobs, etc... which are more common values and parctices amongst young professionals currently. Obama didn't do that, it would have happened no matter who was president - it's cultural.

In some cases they can't afford to own the house, in other cases they just don't want the house. In a constantly-rising number of cases, which I don't know for certain but I would expect reflects a (miniscule) ~3% drop in housing ownership as reflected in the graphic, it's because they want to live a lifestyle that doesn't require and doesn't facilitate owning a house. So "can't afford one?" is a valid but not consequential argument.
