lol I was talking that macha album, which isn't so much "fake gamelan" but is more like a recontextualization of it

gotcha gotcha. I thought you meant Macha, but I was afraid I was being dumb.
I've listened to some hindustani classical, but I wasn't huge on it. Ultimately I think I'm stuck in western stuff right now.
Any particular recordings you'd rec, or should I just check top rym stuff?

I definitely like gamelan better than a lot of other east Asian classical music cause its mostly percussive and doesn't have any of those shrill wind instruments that a lot of kinda music has

yeah the top rym shit is good, but definitely look on YouTube and blogs to find some more obscure stuff too

there's one I go on all the time but the name escapes me atm

Guess some shit about my pathetic life

just waitin for the pack to take me away

i listened to aaliyah last night while making 12am breakfast it was good
honestly they're always playing that fonky type music at the gym and i've developed a slight affinity for it. If I was on my computer more I'd probably download some fonk and r&b. The album was alright. It needs to grow on me. I don't feel that I have time to let albums grow on me anymore. I just like listening to it over and over but I can't really do that anymore.

I feel like music is really a young person thing
