What do you think of AC/DC? I'm talking with Bon Scott not that Brian Johnson idiot.

what's next to the moon sounds like a slint song

Bon Scott is a turd but Brian Johnson is a hero

>He fell for the Brian is bad meme
C'mon, bud

They were good with Scott. They were great with Johnson.

Everything went downhill and commercialised since Back in Black. I like most of the Bon Scott era stuff.

Its a shave Malcolm didn't play more solos, the ones he played in the early days were really good. Much better than Angus.

I like both singers, in general just a good band

Back In Black is their best album, an extremely common opinion sure but sometimes the status quo is right

Back in Black [Atlantic, 1980]

Replacing Aerosmith as the band of choice for heavy machinery-admiring primitives, these Aussies are a little too archetypical for my taste. Angus Young does come up with some killer riffs, although not as often as a refined person like myself would hope, while newly-recruited singer Brian Johnson sings like he has a cattle prod at his scrotum, just the thing for fans who can't decide if their newfound testosterone is agony or ecstasy. Songs such as "Given (sic) the Dog a Bone and "Let Me Put My Love Into You" contain all the unimaginative sexual acts you'd imagine, while "What Do You Do For Money, Honey" has fewer answers than the average secretary would prefer. My sister is glad they don't write poetry, and if you're male, feel free to share in her relief. Brothers are more deeply implicated in these matters. B-

For Those About To Rock...We Salute You [Atlantic, 1982]

Brian Johnson fully takes over and makes the band into his own, replacing Bon Scott's old-fashioned raunch with an anthemic grandiosity more fitting of their precious heavy metal status. Still, I'd appreciate some indication that Johnson knows the difference between his dick and the light tower. C+

Who Made Who [Atlantic, 1986]

The soundtrack to Stephen King's "Maximum Overdrive", this collection works well by emphasizing songs and keeping the sexism muted (of the 9 cuts here, Bon Scott appears only once, on the tired "Ride On") while two of the three new tracks are instrumentals. I only wish their one true masterwork, the drum-hooked fucksong "You Shook Me All Night Long" wasn't buried on side one the way it's buried on side two of Back In Black. But this is their most presentable collection nevertheless. B+

Blow Up Your Video [Atlantic, 1988]

The brutal truth is that sexism has never kept a good rocker down--from Muddy to Lemmy, lots of powerful rock has objectified women in objectionable ways. But _rotely_ is not among them. I mean, these guys have never known how to throw a party. Sure, their costumery was good for a laugh, but Angus Young has always been stingy with those famous killer riffs and Brian Johnson has grown hoarse with the encroaching years. Their reunion with Vanda and Young no more signals a desire to resume making good albums than does Elton John's reunion with Bernie Taupin, it signals desperation and panic, and unlike Elton, they're unlikely to reverse their downward sales course. I look forward to their retirement and the inevitable best-of that follows. C+

Everything Rocks and Nothing Ever Dies [1990s]

That cover art is retarded

Angus apparently plans to keep the band going another decade yet, do one more album and world tour and then retire.

Rudd is in jail. Malcom dosnt know who he is anymore and johnson is leaving becasue he is going deaf. Probably not gonna happen.

Say hi to Bon Scott for us.

Brian Johnson apparently will still do studio work with the band, but his doctors have forbidden him to perform live again.

They had the energy of a punk band, love their old stuff. I've listened to them a bit too many times like 15 years back, when I had my born in le wrong generation phase, so I haven't heard them in a while.
Prolly gonna put on pic related later, that shit still kicks ass. One of my favorite live albums of all time and my favorite AC/DC record.

Friend of mines Grandma is in the same care home as Malcolm - she had no idea who he is until told later

He likes to sit while other people are talking and listen. Doesn't say anything, just listens and smiles and nods, but doesn't seem to understand what being said.

Is he alive or is he dead
Has he thoughts within his head
We'll just pass him there
Why should we even care

Are you me?

Back in Black is their masterpiece, they haven't made anything as good before or since. I'm really fucking sick of this "muh bon scott" shit, because with both Scott and Johnson, most of AC/DC's output was filler shit with the occasional hit and this was the reality ever since they were formed. I actually thing Johnson is a far better singer, way more energetic.

Personally I like Brian Johnson but the Bon Scott years are the CLASSIC years!

Now I wanna listen to this fine gem of a live concert album. (And I will too!)

Lol you guys really like fucking AC/DC or is it just bait? I can't believe people here have shitaste like that.
