Fantastic stuff. This movie profoundly affected me when I was going through a rough time, it will always hold a special place in my heart.

If you haven't seen any of Tarkovsky's stuff, do it. My personal favorite is Stalker, but honestly, anything from Andrei Rublev to the Mirror will do.

That's why I recommended Ivans Childhood, Tark is for him, but it's best to go chronologically

OP here, I didn't like Upstream Color, it lacked a comprehensive narrative imo. On the other hand Ivan's Childhiod was pretty great, but I liked Stalker way more

I've seen a few of his movies (Ivan's childhood, Stalker and Solaris) and planning on seeing The Mirror and Andrei Rublev. Stalker is also in my top 10
