working in nitrogen atmosphere, acids, lye, toxic catalysts. I do mechanical work too in environments no one else wants to work. base salary is 40usd/hour but when for example working with nitrogen, I take 65usd/hour. Most I've earned an hour is 140usd/h.

requires me to travel a lot. All expenses paid for. Hotell, food, travel

>Warehouse manager
do you fuck. BS, 75k a year?

what does your job consist of,
"dude! we need somewhere to put these boxes, what do we do!?"

"put them over there, in that place, where there's space"

Another hard day of work...

I'm not salty about the salary, I make decent money, honestly, what kind of company pays that much for a warehouse job?

you must be underage or totally dense. People in logistics make cash for a reason. Depending on how professional they work how big the industry behind it is, its quite demanding to meet time frames, manage storage for maximum efficiency and stressful with priority management.
You are probably thinking about the small storage room behind the store around the corner, but its much bigger than that.

First of all I'm from Norway. Our base salaries are higher.
One example is a job i had at Hafslund Varme. They burn everyday waste for energi, heating water and so on. The furnace has to be cleaned out. every second count to get the furnace back up and running to start productionm but who the fuck wants to work in a enviorment where you have to bring 20x tools, 50x pair of boots because they literally catch fire walking on the ashes. I could barely work for 30sec before I had to take a 5min break.
That job lasted for 5 days and paid 9k usd + all expenses.

Well, risking your health for a good salary might or might not be worth it. Sure you get a decent salary, but depending on your luck it might get eaten away as soon as you reach 50 or so when all the problems start setting in.

6'1
IT Analyst
$65k

health is number one priority. I take more than enough safety precautions. besides safety equipment, I had three people at the door watching me the entire time, ready to pull me the fuck out.

One job I had at a oil refinery they bought me safety suits for 1,4 million usd. That was 50 suits. they wear down after a 16h shifts because of the toxicity. Breathing apparatus etc etc

Not the same guy, but Americans don't use the team 'fortnight'. It's an old-timey thing around here.

I'm sure they take good care of you! But your risk of getting in contact with some bad chemicals is certainly higher than somebody sitting in an office. That risk is what increases your salary and you need to be aware of that.
Statistically the most dangerous part of your job is probably driving to work, but that is true for everyone else as well.

I/O faggot here.

I have a Master's and will likely be returning for a PH.D as a part of enhancing my own brand.

Master's level programs teach you literally everything you need to know in order to treat organizations. And I mean everything. Doesn't matter if it's predictive statistics, job analysis, org strategy, or psychometrics. They teach you everything.

Getting a PH.D would make obtaining more Fortune 500 clients easier and could open doors for publication and a promotion at work. Otherwise I could give two shits.

Also, Master-level programs are definitely not being phased out.
