if you liked kraftwerk maybe check out YMO
if you like YMO check out Yukihiro Takahashi's solo stuff (neuromantic and what, me worry?), Haruomi Hosono's solo stuff (his 80's records [PHILHARMONY, Video Game Music, and S-F-X] but his earlier stuff is fantastique also)
maybe also ryuichi sakamoto's solo stuff, but i haven't listened to that much (I know 1000 knifes is good).
if you liked Candy Claws you might like Beach house - i recommend Depression Cherry and Bloom.
also if you like dopesmoker you should check out some other doom like Electric Wizard - maybe boris too, but some of their stuff is a little drone. (listen to Boris at last - feedbacker and move on to Absolutego if you want more noisy drone)
also I don't have any real recs but angelo badalamenti is fuckin cash. maybe give the xiu xiu covers of the twin peaks soundtrack a listen.
try some enigma. cross of changes is a good place to start.
