>$190 million dollar budget

Do you think that studios will start to try after all the bombs this year?

oh wait its a 180 million budget

of course not

personally think this film will be a steady grower. It doesn't exactly have a fandom unless youre obsessed with the cartoon tv series

Can a man take down a gorilla with the proper technique?

>will start to try

try what?

This must be a problem with marketing, I was not aware this movie existed until this thread.

I wouldn't have gone to see it even if I knew, but still.

Nah, they'll just write it off as a financial loss and get their money back via taxes

Nah senpai

Yes, my dad has

this could spell trouble for the TCU

One can only hope.

Gorillas are actually quite cowardly despite being retardedly strong. A man could definitely kill one

>Do you think that studios will start to try after
yes they will look at the top grossers of this year and realize that they should pump out more capeshit and cartoon shit for children

>tfw the Burroughs cinematic universe keeps bombing
I guess this means no Naked Lunch...

no, instead ticket prices will be raised

Say that to a silverback

>a Tarzan movie
>$190 million dollar budget

just why?

>190 million doller for this shitty movie

just imagine what would had happen if they give 1 million doller for 190 indie movie diractor

We probably would have gotten 190 shitty movies

Pretty sure the chinks will save it like they do every other disposable garbage summer blockbuster.

>"white savior"

learn to english, you fucking retard

Just saw this

Loved it! Real.action, real thrills, meh cgi, cool.actors ! Its not big and.dumb, its only generic. Nothing wrong with that. Its not a waste of your time

>its only generic
that's everything that's wrong. I don't want to waste my time watching some generic shit

>Do you think that studios will start to try after all the bombs this year?
I would hope so considering BvS is the only critical bomb that hit the bank. So glad to see flop after flop this year, I hope to god that it'll bring back more $30-60 million movies.

If you want something new all the time then go ahead and watch Warcraft again

I'll stick with tried and true "generic" big movie formula that STILL WORKS for a fun flick

cuz david yates has a fetish I guess

>Do you think that studios will start to try after all the bombs this year?
No, they'll just include more cameos from Chinese actors and actresses. Why try to make a good movie when the Chinese will eat shit that requires less effort.

t. Saxton Hale

i actually went and saw this shit last night with my only friend who is a junkie. hes a fuckin nightmare to go anywhere in public with. he got up and went to the bathrrom like 3 times , or his car, and came back smelling like junk. he then slept through the rest of the movie.

it was told in pointless flashbacks, christoph waltz and the guy who plays vandal savage look exactly the same, like the guys look really similar. fridge is fine. tarzan is stale as fuck. sam jackson looks liek he dont wanna be there. very generic shit. they attempted to introduce like a slavery thing into it, but most of the movie was just black dudes with spears waving in the air and the planet of apes monkeys sometimes. i was listening to a podcast for most of the movie, because there were long "action" scenes with no dialoug and i was able to follow the whole movie while listening to ACS. that show sucks too now. used to be good. i hate my junkie friend

>listens to a podcast through the entire film
>thinks he's actually entitled to an opinion

You remind me of my ex who dropped Sopranos after 3 episodes while she was texting her friends through the entire thing.

Atleast Casper won't feel so bad now.

well i love the sopranos so your ex is just a dumb broad. the movie was garbage. go see it for yourself . i only listened during the shitty action scenes.

Is this ironic? Fucking kill yourself either way man.

Warner doesn't give a shit, they literally only made this so David Yates would direct Fantastic Beasts.

This was Yates' passion project and he refused to come back to Potter unless Warner funded his Tarzan film. Losing 180 million is chump change to the billion dollerydoos they're going to be getting from more Harry Poter.

>but most of the movie was just black dudes with spears waving in the air
that was one recurring shot in the last big action sequence

and the beginning of the movie, and whenever digimon mojoombo is onscreen. and raiders of the lost ark. lots of raiders of the lost ark

>PG rating
big mistake

we're already half way through the year and it's already one of the worst years for big budget movies in recent memories.

this

I really hope that it'll pick up because otherwise this could be the worst summer movie season in decades.

I normally go to a summer blockbuster every 2 or 3 weeks during the summer season. I've been to the theater thrice this season. Just three times since March, and most of those were early releases. Simply nothing looks interesting.

This stretch of bombs has gone back to 2014

I feel like the main reason so many people seemed genuinely interested in The Shallows was because it's not another 2.5 hour blockbuster franchise film.

Sometimes you just want to see a lady fight a shark. In an age where everything is so bloated and portioned out, something simple and singular can be nice.

But 2014 and 2015 had a lower number of bombs and a higher number of fun films. I hope to god that later Summer movies like Bourne can save us.

and even that caused WB to change shit around with the DC universe

Just watched this and it was alright.

Helped that I watched it in 4D at least.

I love how smaller films are really showing off this summer. 10 Cloverfield Lane was a smash hit and a genuinely fantastic thriller, and Conjuring 2 took two giant budget pieces of shit and raped them up the ass.

>WB
they won't fucking learn

>Samuel L Jackson as the gorilla

Green Room was so much fun to see in the theater. Goddamn, I had a great crowd with that one, they all had the right reactions at the right parts.

10 Cloverfield Lane was a good time, I wish I saw that in the theatres.

>8 days in
Big Dick Nicks cinematic masterpiece The Neon Demon hasn't made a million.

Might as well just kill ourselves desu.

It would be so nice for these smaller budget films to become the new norm with much fewer giant tentpoles. Even if a few falter, films like 10 Cloverfield Lane that made their budget so many times over and over will hopefully push for more.

>George of the jungle
I'm thinking lol remember the Disney movie more clearly

>Do you think that studios will start to try after all the bombs this year?

Maybe they should try making movies that aren't complete shit.

That's my suggestion.

>summer movie season
>haven't bothered to watch a single movie

>Samuel L Jackson
Was he motion captured to animate the gorilla?

Grandpa stop watching CNN and go watch a movie. Tarzan was around when u were young.

Were you trying to be funny?

OUTTA MY WAY FUCKING SHITS

SUMMER SAVIOUR IS HERE

I was trying to fuck you're a mumyou fucking cuck

JESUS

Accurate desu

Just a reminder, G-rated.

Very funny how obviously no one wants any of these modernized live action classic kids stories but the jews wont stop making cringy shit like Pan.

i laughed

whining liberal reviewers didn't know what to make of this movie because on one hand they injected a retarded belgian genocide story into it making white people look like evil monsters, but it also has a white person saving the day.

This

Now if you'd put the brains of a chimp inside the body of a gorilla, that would be something to watch.

As several people can attest, orangutans are the number 1 primate threat, especially to your face.

Good one fucking TCU cucks

>skinny tarzan
>awful cgi out the ass

what did the spend the 190 million on?

Shooting on location? Permits?

>literally dozens of shitty blockbusters are made each year that the domestic market carries
>Hurr durr the chinks
>can only point to the same two movies (T4 and Warcraft)

yeah, keep pretending the demand for shitty movies comes from anywhere but here

I'm assuming the monkeys
