Personally I enjoy Transcendence into the Peripheral on about the same level as Brave Murder Day, but they are opposite ends of the doom metal spectrum.
Nothing sounds quite Brave Murder Day except the Sounds of Decay EP (which is lacking in the production department) and Discouraged Ones (which loses the death growls and some of the shoegaze influence but is as beautiful and hypnotic as Brave Murder Day).
You could also try My Dying Bride or Saturnus. Again, not all that similar to 90s Katatonia but if you take your time to listen to some of their albums they might as well hit your same strings.

i think flood is boring as hell but i'll listen to feedbacker again. mostly just listen to akuma no uta, pink and heavy rocks when it comes to boris

I don't enjoy Flood that much either. Same for Absolutego. I think Feedbacker is great.
Best boris for me is Akuma no Uta, Heavy Rocks, Smile and Präparat. Try Rock Dream for the best live album in existence.
