REEEEEETARD

...

Because i dont like shitty fantasy books?

...

You didn't even post what you liked, obviously because you don't read. Also, you posted this reply.

>NEEEEEEEEEEEERD

This type of post proves you don't read because you think it's for nerds.

Is the manga worth it if you saw both berserk animes?

BUmp buMp

Best book I've ever read

I prefer actual history.

Actually, pretty much all of his Dark Fantasy stuff is great.

Glad he's actually managed to get his works published again.

Sun Tzu: The Art of War. Will teach you anything you need to know about any conflict.

I dont know as I read it and have not seen the anime. But the books were the shit.

...

>Calls someone else a nerd
>reads non-fiction books

kek

If you love that, watch David Simon's show The Wire, excellet series.

>How do I reply to posts
back to Facebook, Muhammed.

holy shit yes

...

Is Denna a Fae or not? Or is she the moon?

What a pleb you are.

You need to read more.

One I can read over and over again. It's so beautifully depressing.

glory to this book, wish the cunt would stop stalling the 3rd one though

...

Just listened to both audio books, but don't see what all the hype is about and the fact that it's written in the first person is kind of weird.

>secondary sources
>history

Choose one.

Want to read, but isn't it like a zillion volumes long, or something?

Hell yes. Can't wait for the next one.

Met the guy who wrote that book. Also went to highschool with his grandkids, Noah and Georgia. He was pretty cool, shame he died though.

Let me explain my post here further.

When they say "history is written by the victors" it means two things. That "history" they're referring to are secondary sources propagandizing the actual history [primary sources], given those sources aren't corrupted as well.

Right?!?! I always kind of get sad when the new one comes out because I read it in a day because I can't help myself. Then it's gone and I'm sad

...

Hitch-hiker's Guide..ALL of it...

Fear and Loathing...

Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Stranger in a Strange Land

The Stand

Replay

These are books that if you haven't read them, you might as well just consider yourself a complete loser of such monumental proportions that Trump Voters are more "in the know" than you...

...

prince of nothing series

Haven't ever read these but they take up literal rows on the shelves at all my local bookstores.
Are they actually any good?

also for reality assholes
speak like a dynasty pharoah

Neil gaiman
Stardust
Also neverwhere.

garbage.

Is that boxxo ?

Seconded on the name of the wind and his second book. Best books ever written. They make Harry Potter look like faggoty babyshit.

...

another favorite of mine is trump presidency....

...

i honestly couldn't get into his works
something just didn't catch for me

Not really a fun to read book, but fitting the title theme.

...

more reality like stuff alternate history, fictionalized i guess great stuff/

picked this one and the other two in the series when a Hastings was closing a few years back

Thought it was gonna be some edgy emo angel crap. Was rather surprised by it. Third book ending was... there.

Maybe not god-tier, but if you like fantasy this is worth a read

I fucking love Sanderson.

...

...

Sanderson is good and what he did for Robert Jordans life work should be commended.

I read probably 1 fantasy/sci-fi book every two weeks (depending on length). I've read the staples like Dune, Name of the Wind, GoT, Mistborn, WoT, ect as well as a bunch of random "lesser known" series. And this is by far my favorite, I can't recommend it enough.

The first 2 start off kind of slow/aren't anything to write home about (not bad by any means) but after that he establishes the characters and it really get's going. It probably has the best character development and coolest lore in any series I've ever read. The plots are pretty unique and keep you guessing. He also is a master at Plot archs, with several nesting ones within the series and stories themselves.

10/10 would recommend falling in love with

They actually teach this in university classes btw.

This 1000% this

...

First book was great.
I really felt bad for the scene where he goes to the rich side of town to beg for money then gets the shit beat out of him by the guards.

The second book was ok but not as good.

I have already read them both 3 times and I am slowly giving up on there ever being an end.

I am now reading the Lightbringer series from Brent Weeks and the last trilogy of the Fitz Chivalry series by Robin Hobbs.

PAX EXCELSIOR SIC TRANSIT GLORIA MUNDI! EX NIHILO NIHIL! FIT HOC GENUS OMNE! SCUTO BONAE VOLUNTATIS! TUAE CORONASTINOS, FINIS CORONAT OPUS DOMINI! SIC ITUR AD ASTRA, SIC UT PATRIBUS SIT DUES NOBIS.

...

...

...

I liked the first few books in the series especially the third. But the later ones get way too preachy. It seems like Terry Goodkind can't write anything else and each new novel is worse than the last.

unless youre a historian, youre not going to spend your day sorting through primary documents.
and this book is a different look at american history, where he examines the "loser's" perceptive not the victors.

The Well of Ascension is better

Mah niggah

My fencing teacher actually challenged him to a duel over some shit at yale. Howard Zinn is a pussy and is wrong about his vision of the past

One of my absolute favourite Sci-fi books. Read it in Uni, actually, in a science fiction lit. class. Also had Asimov and Arthur C Clark in that class, one of the best semesters I ever had.

God damn, poli. sci. semester one... But this book really stuck with me after all these years... Good pick!

great true book here i found it awesome

Your fencing teacher was probably wrong, thats why hes not a successful historian.

Niggers

this may be a movie series soon
another i found to be awesome

These ae some of my favourites

Read some George Orwell, ya uneducated fleebs.

Great writer, even if he was a damn dirty socialist.

I see your Clavell
and raise you

My fucking nigga

this fucking guy gets it

...

Don't know how I forgot these.
I love this series, the best I've ever read. Some of these books made me cry.

Moe author than series. Though the books about Fitz outclass the others by far

Just adding everything posted to my backlog. Don't mind me

sacred-texts.com/neu/kveng/

This is a good series.

This book kinda reminds me of Sup Forums...

The Stormlight Archive is better, and Hoid is the fucking man.

If anyone hasn't already read this book its sequel, read it now. It is more than words. It's a puzzle, a poem, and a painting all communicated as a story.

geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez
read more

...

Hell fucking yes

Anything by Brandon Sanderson.

Also Robert Zelazny: The Chronicles of Amber.
It took him 21 years to finish it. it's not available for electronic download, but you can get it on Audible and at the book store.

...

Agreed. Its starts off really good and then just goes down hill

The manga is 100x better than the anime. If you liked the anime, then you will love the manga.
