But aside from that, I remember that Gothic 1 had a myriad of game breaking glitches that you could encounter, like how touching a lever or valve without turning it could make it inoperable, blocking you from progressing in the game.

That's maybe because Gothic had about 1/10th of the NPCs that Morrowind did, and a much smaller worldspace that didn't necessitate making separate cells for interiors. Having NPCs teleporting between cells often caused problems in Morrowind.

Fallout 3 is Oblivion with guns, Fallout: NV is a great RPG with fun dialogues and exploration.
