no they're not. benchmarks indicate it's not going to perform substantially better than what is already commercially available. Unless you're working on something where those fractions of a second of CPU time are actually going to make a difference, the only thing ryzen might do is drive down the price of an eight core processor, and even then i'm still more inclined to buy from intel.
intel ae refining a dead end architecture and have spent all their R&D trying to get into the mobile space. AMD keep refining this and intel are going to lose the game

but ryzen really isn't bringing anything that remarkable with their new processor, until they actually do something that actually has substantial performance impacts across 100% of the CPU's execution time, they're not doing shit and intel isn't going anywhere

I hear this shit every few years. AMD has nice stuff, I use AMD processors, but their new tech is never as revolutionary as they claim it will be, and Intel/Nvidia usually releases something better shortly afterward.
