I don't understand the European fetish with manual transmission. It's like we are over here with a tv remote and you guys might as well be operating your tv with a hand crank.

>is learning to drive really a big deal for americans?
If you live in big cities that don't have shit tightly next to each other than yes cause then you're stuck with the buses and they usually suck ass

I drive an auto but manual is objectively superior. It forces you to pay more attention and anticipate traffic, it also gets rid of the stop and go driving that is so common in America and replaces it with coasting

There's nothing wrong with that, user.

>big cities

Shouldn't those have subways?

Not all have them

no way to control it

it's totally automatic

Not all. Having your own car is a big deal in majority of the states.

teaching your daughter how to properly handle a stick is an essential part of fatherhood

Enjoy your meme transmission driving up a hill in heavy traffic

>it's a dad has his daughter sit on his lap so he can teach her to drive episode
literally the high point of fatherhood

You can't do this? How did they even give you a license with motor control that poor?

>be me

>goat driver here. 2 fast 2 furious
yeah just don't end up like Paul

I can drive stick, it's just a pain in the ass and cars with automatic transmissions are cheaper anyway. This will always be shitpost worthy because those who think that inconvenient=better love to shitpost.
>yuropoors
>owing cars
Half of you are brits who will be begging in the streets for scraps of kebab in two years regardless

your "big" city doesn't have a subway?
newsflash: your city isn't big.
CHI-CITY MURDER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD STAND UPPPPP!

>cars with automatic transmissions are cheaper anyway
Opposite is true in Europe.

>I can drive stick, it's just a pain in the ass and cars with automatic transmissions are cheaper anyway

It's literally the opposite...

My city is in the 5 top biggest in the country.

It's apparently becoming so for the precious snowflakes.

A few years back I worked with a guy whose 18 year old daughter was graduating high school and going off to college she was literally in tears, because she had to learn how to drive...

We have a pretty big country.
