He had no real home and it was the first time Clark met someone affected by the meteors who was actually level-headed and could use his powers for good unlike everyone else he had to (pretty much) put down. In fact, after season 5 Every other episode was shit and by season 8, all of it was shit. season 9 was kinda better and season 10 was shit incarnate. But even their shittiest seasons stands out as solid gold compared to the maggoty gargantuan stink shit that is supergirl.
