Truthfully, I don't know if it'd fit with the concept, but maybe adjusting the plates to have some kind of chainmail (actual chainmail or otherwise improvised) may help convey the fact that it's attached to them better. Also, are they in a faction together? If so, maybe have a small detail tying them together, like a certain belt or tattoo

Yeah, guns and other extremely high-tech weaponry. The city is set in the far future, long after the hell-war has been fought and won, and the few demons that remain are simply small-scale terrorists. I've blocked out a small robot SWAT team that will also fight them. This gang will shake things up some.

Looks badass, yo. Love the robot arm. Sword is only slightly cliche, I think you pull it off. The thigh gap is kind of... glaring. But it fits with the overall cartoonish style.
