How much semen are you swallowing on a daily basis?

0 moles

how much money do you make ?

I'm on €5,259.43 per month

Is there anything that you want to share with us,
Something that we need to know?

Get a chemistry/pharmaceutical degree and move to Ireland. There's so much money to be made.

If a doctor ever writes you a prescription for anything that is rated as "a really strong X", be extremely careful with it. People with addictions drive big pharma. It's extremely easy to from a habit, and I emphasise that extremely.
I myself would go as far ibuprofen (which I oversee the production of) or even cannabis for pain management.

Why is the generic drug game so crazy OP??

Why are all my drug prices so fucking VOLATILE??? it's not production, is it?

What other major market has such gigantic rapid price changes? Pharma is nuts

It's crazy because once a drug comes off patent, smaller companies can grab a price of a big pie.
With generics, different excipients are being used as to the proprietary label. With that, there's a drive to find who can make the same "drug" for cheaper and increase revenue. That being said, some people might react badly to generics, like a certain bulking agent may upset their stomach.

Drug prices are down to numerous factors like rate of production and demand. If a certain antibiotic is produced massively and is sold with a 45% profit margin, meanwhile another drug company produces something similar with a 35% profit margin - then first product will drop in price to meet the competition's.

Then if cases of a certain illness are low for a period of months, yet excess stock is produced. A company will rather break even then suffer a loss with medication going out of date. But if cases are on the rise, then the company can captilise on it.

I'm actually unsure of other markets that have rapid price changes.

Is your company hiring clinical/medicinal chemists?

There's a lot wiggle room when looking for positions in any pharma company.
Usually any undergrad in biochem/organic chem/pharmaceutical science/pharmacology could land you a job.
Each position has a different role and these roles can vary depending on the job be QC to R&D to batch manufacture.
So, if you see a position open on their website, email them with your qualifications and experience. Hopefully that would be just enough to get your foot in the door.

Not a bad answer

All the hate toward big pharma is understandable, but it's weird that you don't see the same resentment toward food distribution companies, or other critical resource markets

I am an MD/PhD student. I did my undergrad in chemistry and neuroscience, and my PhD work is in computational protein design and cheminformatics. I'm a wet lab / dry lab mix kinda guy.

After I finish my degrees I am unsure of whether or not I want to go into a residency program, or just do a post-doc / find a job in industry. Any idea if there is a benefit to having a completed residency going into pharma, or will my MD make me more valuable on its own? Basically, I want to science; seeing patients is not as interesting.

Thanks a lot, Sup Forumsro. I appreciate the advice!

do you steal extremely toxic chemicals and sell them to balkan mobsters as poison?

how much variation do you get in your products? I'd imagine your technique refined to a point that you don't get a relatively big variation?

I grew up always hating on massive cooperations and I would've never saw myself working for one.
There's so much power to select few people, and it's crazy.
And yet here I am literally just in it for the money.

You're going to be more qualified than myself, than being a masters in pharmaceutical science.
I would love to work as a doctor. Working in factories and labs constantly is draining. In my personal experience so far, most in my employment have master degrees or undergrads and have just specialised in relevant areas to manufacture.
People from my course who went on to do PhDs went into teaching and it seemed to be a trend.
However, like I mentioned in it really depends on what jobs are available. Having x amount of accolades will help to a certain extent, experience is more saught after.

Dude, I have to park my car a certain way before I can enter the building. You've no idea how big regulation is in industry.

No bother, and good luck with your future endeavours.

We are currently conducting animal testing with our latest product (dogs) Do you think this is a good idea or is it inhumane?

What is your compagny ? I m from big pharma too

I've only ever had one batch worth around €52,000 fuck up completely. It was during a 24h shift and the air conditioning stopped working causing the humidity to rise.
Other than that, every product I've overseen has met pharmacopea standards with 85%-115% variation of active ingredient and below a relevant standard deviation of 6%. I'm surprisingly good at what I do despite being a fuck up in school.
If someone says to you "Well user can do it, so can you" - I'm that user.

I had to do it in work placement nearly 10 years ago. I hated every second and will never forget the cries from the dogs and rabbits.

are we close to curing cancer?

I agree the yelps drive me crazy. I dont even understand why we need to test hammers on dogs.

Why the fuck can't I get any hydrocodone anymore?
It's fucking bullshit.
I burned the shit out of my hand and those assholes gave me tramadol

Would a foreign degree still be attractvie to your bosses? (I'm italian)

Is there any age limit that allows you to be hired? Thanks man, love ireland

I rather not say. But it's big enough to be a household name.

Not even. Each cancer is unique, grows differently, reacts differently to treatments.

I've no idea why. I heard something in work about the abuse of opioids is extremely high in the US and "major reform is coming". I'm on the other side of the ocean.

I hated it. I vomited on my when I injected a solution into a rabbits eye on my first day of animal testing.

Yes of course!

is it true what they say about big pharma preferring to make profits selling treatment rather than trying to actually looking for a cure?

Yes. It's just money at the end of the day. Your illness is my gain.

it's a business

youre a fucking moron if you think someone is going to save your life for free

People save lives for free everyday.

What was your smartest move in your career (academics as well) - and what do you regret the most

Look at the drug pyrimethamine (HIV/AIDS drug) which was raised 5,500% when Turning bought the rights.
It's profit before people.

Smartest move would be attending college and not ending up a drug dealer. Worst decision was not accepting a place in the royal college of surgeons and taking a job in Pfizer.

>implying Turning is spreading HIV to sell more drugs

Do you find Derek Lowe's blog as hilarious as I do?

what about the polio vaccine?

hi martin. whens the wu tang shit comin out

When will America legalize marijuana.

Jonas Salk was a noble man.

I do also

No idea to be Jones

Ask an American?

it's 2017 nigga

Is your sales department hiring?

What's your IQ

t. Never checked

I'm unsure of that

Here you go, user

Not a chance. It's half 4 in the morning and I'm just doing this thread while waiting for a colleague to send on some data for my reports.

Retail pharmacist (PharmD) in major US city here.

Could I beat you in a fight?

hey user, cnc edm machinist here, hows my trade out there in ireland, if you know at all ofcourse.

How's the new Wu-Tang Clan album?

Pharmaceutical companies are looking for engineers of late. There's a whole new section of drug formulation growing with new methods of delivery and even packaging linked to your phone to remind you when to take your tablets. Could be worth a look into.

How tall are you?

How many hours you work a week?

5'10", 165 lbs or so. Also, what are your credentials? The residency and fellowship path in the US is such bullshit that it dissuaded from pursuing an industry job. Retail is shitty, but it pays.

Selling pressed Xanax does not make you fucking Pfizer.

>injecting a solution into a rabbit's eye
what other kinds of testing have you done/witnessed?? tell all!!

40

I think I'll win that fight to be honest, but I'm not much of a fighter so who knows.
I've got a masters of science I'm pharmaceutical science and am undergrad in the same.

I don't sell. I make. Plus fuck pfizer, they treat their staff terribly.

It's honestly not more than that. I had to test a for a LD/50 for a sample drug in serval animals with different ways of injection.

It's been C-II for a while now. Doctors are finally getting wise. Old dudes and crooked scumbag docs are the only ones slinging it like the old days.

Not a fighter either, just feeling my fragile ego threatened by someone else with fairly credible claims about working in a similar field to mine. But for the record, I'm a doctor (of pharmacy, but fuck it).

Shadiest business practice heard off/saw in the industry

>I stole a spatula from my chemistry lab room
What's the L.D.50 for bleach? Drink 2x that amount.

can I have some schedule 1 drugs please?

I've seen a lot of posts today from people who seem to believe that doubling an LD50 means it's 100% lethal, or that it's linearly proportional to weight of the subject. I'm not sure you all understand the concept.

Significantly easier to buy these from the black market than to get any kind of legal access to them. That's part of the holdup with US marijuana research.

I didn't imply any of that. I just want you to have a good chance at killing yourself painfully. If not at least you'll be severely and irreparably injured from the bleach.

Fuck off your roleplaying faggot.

This is bullshit.

Signed,
Generic pharmanon

Suggesting anyone drink 2x the LD50 of something suggests that you understand it to mean that they will surely die as a result. The implication seems pretty clear.

Okay RPer.

I don't know what that means, user.

What's the chemical in this melon fucking gif that makes ur dick big?

holy shit did you OD a rabbit by injecting it's eye?

or did you somehow do LD tests without reaching the LD?

It means you're roleplaying and should fuck off.

how badly zolof kill my brain?

Bigly

>toilet-scrubber in large industry detected

explain why OP's wrong

...

also explain why

Sounds like you were retarded before SSRI therapy, but if you don't taper off slowly, you'll be even worse off for a while.

also, how the fuck can you do such things to animals/endorse them? how can the money be worth it if you injected a poor fucking rabbit in the eye?

How can I trick the pharmacy into giving me more adderall?

Better yet, how can I make adderall at home?

I'm far from retardation but close to autism I guess, so fair enough. also fuck you.

Can I get some bars pls

I use the exact same excipients in my formulation that RLDs use. I search patents, reverse engineer, analyze mass spec spectra, etc all to ensure I use exactly the same excipients.

Hurr durr different ingredients is what butt hurt big pharmanons tell themselves to justify the ridiculous prices.

You ain't fooling anyone with that Avicel and AC-do-sol formulation jackass.

You can't. It's C-II. They won't give you extra unless they fuck up, and if they do and you don't play good samaritan with them, they won't fill your script anymore.

You can't make adderall at home, but it's not too hard to make meth. One methyl group makes a pretty big difference.

It's a tough life being a rabbit. Either eye injections or snek fud

is it possible to steal schelude 1 drugs from your workplace?
