We all agree that

We all agree that

Casino >>> Goodfellas

Right?

Yes 100%

No

you're a bit mixed up OP

>that vice scene

>that disgusting outie

People without innie belly buttons should off themselves

Pussy

Casino is Goodfellas with neon lights added.

And an unfortunate swap from Lorraine Braco to Sharon Stone.

I'm afraid to tell you that you are sorely wrong, bro.

>cinematography is on point (OP pic related)
>score is fucking phenomenal and fits the movie like a glove
>acting is top notch and it's not just Pesci and Deniro
>Sharon Stone gives one of the best performances of a female actor of all time
>James Woods plays the perfect sleazeball
>perfect ending that wraps up everything and gives a great sense of catharsis

The corn field scene alone makes this movie better than Goodfelas.

Good lord no

That's a halvsie. A swirl of an outie to an innie, if you will.

they didn't swap from Lorraine Braco.

they swapped Ray Liotta

Yes. Goodfellas has charm, but it's actually a shitty movie, desu. I'm baffled Pesci got an Oscar for it.

Casino is better, written, directed and acted.

casino was a masterpiece. goodfellas was scorsese practicing for casino, his legit mafia movie.

>outtie

That's no outtie.

No but Sharon Stone's character is the most irritating, psychotic bitch in film history

I loved goodfellas for years, one of my favorite movies.
I heard of casino before and basically expected to be a generic gangster movie/ imitation of goodfellas and was blown away when i watched it a few weeks ago. Goodfellas is a great movie but now i view Casino as THE gangster movie, fantastic made movie so yeah Casino>Goodfellas.

Goodfellas is fantastic but I find Casino to be more comfy

Both are masterpieces, how about that? You fucking jackals.

yup

yes, but i wish he held these shots a little longer as the le Mepris theme played

The thing is, I've seen both of those movies so many fucking times, and Casino really is basically > than Goodfellas. They're both great, but it really goes to Casino.

Goodfellas is the more "classic" movie.
Casino is the actual patrician film.

Thanks for the evidence.

>sharon stone's acting was so on point there are people who hate this movie because of her character

Seriously. She played a bitch so perfectly well. I really think people hate this movie because Ginger was so frustrating.

...

The whole movie is about vice; can you be more specific?

...

Hollywood has sold this idea that the mob film is stuck in around a fifty year space. It's not. The Noir is the mob film as gangsta as it can go. There is no limit on it. The mob movie is the frontier of flesh made into the frontier it interacts with. It's an attitude.

Tarantino's getting very, very close, but he'll need to drop theatricality to get there. Mann's work pushes the people but not their spirit. The image but not its emotion. It's great that Scorsese made Goodfellas and Casino, because they're really opposite sides of the same coin, being spent on the same Coca~Cola. It's just that Goodfellas wants to know how environments create their inhabitants, while Casino wants to know how inhabitants create their environments. And furthermore, both movies are interested in audience culpability for what they've paid money to see and hear. One handles the sales pitch, one handles the sale.

Goodfellas 2nd half and Casino are roughly equal.

Goodfellas 1st half is a tier above.

>"GIMME A NAME ANTHONY!"

>movies have halves, not thirds

Back to class with you, pleb.

>CHARLIE M? CHARLIE M? YOU MADE ME POP YOUR EYE OUTTA YOUR FUCKING HEAD TO PROTECT THAT PIECE OF SHIT! YOU DUMB MUDDAFUCKER

>Goodfellas third act and Casino are roughly equal.

>Goodfellas first two acts are a tier above.

Happy?

No, 'cause it's completely wrong.

No it isn't, it's the contrarian film, the one movie that people like you say is the best to stand put from the crowd. It's a good film though.
