The "help" part is up to you. I found that most therapists are content to just let you sit there and chat with you about whatever for an hour to get their money. What do you want to change? What do you want to dig into? What topics do you want to explore even if you think you'll react normally to them?
Think about these things before coming in next time so you can start the session and keep it focused with: "Today I really want to talk about how I... ". IMHO, think of a therapist as just a paid sounding board who must maintain your confidence. Just like you pay an escort to do freaky shit with you and then leave, you pay a therapist to listen to what you wan to resolve and then keep it confidential (unless, of course, you start talking about murdering people/breaking laws/self harm).
Unsure of what you mean by "festival". Like, music festivals? Tons of those, all over the state. I'd suggest more focusing on making connections with people online and then coming over to hang out with them. leddit is great for that.

Introspection works for me too, but it's hard to find enough time to do it. You know, limit distractions, really clear off all other thoughts and think.
Try meditation if you aren't already. None of the new age bullshit, just the basics of clearing your mind and focusing on breathing. If there's a Meditation Center near you then try attending a session or two.
Unfortunately I know little about festivals, but I trust your google-fu will help you find what you need. Just remember that you may have grown past that part of your life at this point. No harm in re-experiencing it and confirming for yourself though. :)
