I never saw the first, which I heard was ambitious but ultimately pretty shitty. But I've seen Anarchy, and now Election Year. It took me fucking forever to pick out a movie for the 4th, there really wasn't many great standouts. So I picked out The Purge to see with my sister, mom and dad. We are all weird cinephiles.
We all left really impressed. The Purge is well on its way to becoming a standout cult series. I highly recommend you see it in theaters. I know this is a cliche, but it really lends itself well to here it's pumping score and SFX. If you liked The Warriors, you'll love this.
7/10

Anyone out and about would be probably killed by a random person going off..

Dont liked them. They based on a setting which is like "in this movie humans die of light from the sun, because we wantt tem vulnerable to sunlight" There is no logic behind it, not like stories like Animalfarm, but like Scary movie logic. Only excuse to make a splattermovie It happens and defy our reality and physics of logic.
Or the ones they want to get rid of, go out an kill the ones in charge.
Oh no, the unwanted people suddenly kill all productive people. Yes, good plan, good plot.
Jayden James
>important question: is frank grillo in it? Yes. He is the protagonist

>Purge was started for economic benefits and population control. >Doesn't account the billions if not trillions of dollars worth of damage and cost for the clean up after.

I think they are refering to the idea with complete order the world becomes still and stagnent many lack purpose. But with chaos, this are on the move, more people are needed for jobs, people earn experiences and do things. It's a cycle, destroy/create keeps everyone happy and occupied, full of purpose.
