Dear liberals

Dear liberals.

How do you feel now after the election? It's been over a month, how are you coping with it?

I voted for neither, but it was a pretty funny seeing most of you freak out and acted like children.

No matter what side you're on, we all want to win, on the merits of the ideas and the reasoning, - Everything is racist, everything is sexist, everything is bigoted, doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Those arguments have been exposed, and noone buys them anymore, so you can either double down and keep losing or you can come to the debate stage with better ones. When you do that the worst thing that happens is you learn a thing or two from people different than you.
Maybe, just maybe, you should stop pointing at everyone else and turn those fingers inward at yourself.
Maybe, you are wrong. But being wrong is human, we are all wrong sometimes.

Being constantly offended doesn't mean you're right, it just means you're too narcissistic to tolerate opinions different than yours.

Why don't you just give Donald Trump a chance? Grow up and stop crying like little babies, it's embarrasing for everyone.

Can't say I'm liberal. Can't say I'm happy about the most disgusting human being alive winning the election for no other reason than he's not a politician.

Can't say I want Exxon/Mobil as secretary of state. Can't say I'm thrilled about the corporate republic trump plans to usher in.

>winning the election for no other reason than he's not a politician.

I always thought this was odd argument. I mean, if you're running for president, you're a politician. I mean, yeah, you might not behave exactly like other politicians do, but you're still a politician.

A politician who has no education in politics, law, or international affairs

I just like him cause he do not care for special little snowflakes and their precious feelings.

I just love liberals crying. It is fucking gold.

no. if you're running you're a statesman. if youre making a career out of public office youre a politician.

Ready for the end.

>The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes.
>Let it be an arms race. We will outmatch them at every pass and outlast them all.
--Donald Trump, President-elect of the United States of America

I can identify with this.
This is why we can't have nice things. Because some people just want to make others cry, at their own expense.

But Trump constantly whines on Twitter whenever anyone does something he doesn't like.

He's the definition of a touchy American.

Yes, isnt it terrible he has assembled a cabinet with people who have been successful and know how to run large organizations and manage people?
What we need is politicians running things, you know - the ones with experience doing nothing but getting elected.

And has used the gulibility of stupid Americans to convince them this is a good thing.

...

see this, dumbass

lmao liberals

call the suicide hotline you weak fucks

He is absolute madman he snaps, says one thing then the next day he flips, probably bipolar or squizo.
Also he doesnt know shit about politics or people

>Yes, isnt it terrible he has assembled a cabinet with people who have been successful and know how to bankrupt large organizations and exploit people?

ftfy

It's not a company. It's a country. There's more at stake than your company's numbers if you say or do the wrong thing.

A country is not the same as a copmany.

Well, he uses the gullibility of stupid Americans, but he also sold a platform for change (ironic) that most people who voted for him, felt that Obama didn't deliver on.

So, stupid Americans, sure. But there were some Americans who bothered to look past the alleged missteps in favor of what they believe, or believed, he would do in office for them.

It's terrible because these people are no different to politicians when it comes to agendas, but they are different in the sense that they will probably go full zealot when it comes to their interests in light of a president who, seemingly, will be as hands-off as possible.

He shitposts on twitter to manipulate the narrative of how the media presents him.

>running a large organization with the goal of lining shareholders' pockets is the same as running a large organization with the goal of making a nation's population happy and successful
That sort of logic takes a special kind of stupid.

I'm a liberal myself (sort of). I'm not glad of how the elections did go, but it must be said that these elections were terrible anyway. No matter who would have won, one of the factions would have cried. And both were terrible. The alt right is a cancer. The regressive left is a cancer. Both candidates were supported by the worst electorate I can think of. In an ideal world, both the alt right and my fellow liberal companions would be locked in some sort of hospital for crazy people.

I'm not worried by Trump at the presidency, I'm worried about who is happy of this result. And I'd have said the very same thing if Clinton won.

He's a perfect example of a career politician, constantly flip flops from one position to another and says whatever people want to hear at the time.

He won't do even half the things he said he would, he'll just do what most politicians do, put all his effort into making sure him and his friends get richer by the time he leaves office, except he'll probably do more damage to make more money than most would.

>organisation
could be a charitable one in which case your definition is wrong

>lining the pockets of share holders

That is not the main aim of their businesses, it is to make a profit.

>there are literally people who think that Don is the ushering in of a corporate republic, as if that hasn't been the case to a larger extent for several decades

"until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes"

Damage, you say?

Government is the biggest business in the country, and should be run as such.

Still disappointed. Not but hurt.

My worries include:
-Environment goes to shit
-Trump loves putin and lets him walk all over him
-trickle down economics (god not again)
-the million generals he chose constantly recommend using force
-takes business decisions (foreign policy type) as personal slights and over reacts
-never realizes he actually won and continues to act like he's campaigning/doesn't do shit ever
-clamps down on media and internet (Sup Forums noooo)
-fucks up the free trade and everything get expensive as shit (we like chinese shit, its cheap)
-encourages the break up of the EU and NATO weakening us tremendously

We will survive but im not excited

-Libtard (as the hill billys would say)

Oh look, it's a liberal who hates the mentally ill, because you're convinced their even more dangerous than you, facts be damned!

>How progressive of you!

Butthurt whining by a bullshit prognosticator.

If your predictions were ever correct, he wouldn't have won. But he did. So maybe you should revisit your arrogant statements about how things really work, hmm?

and the corporate republic. People thought hillary was corrupt but now all the people who were paying her off are getting paid to further their interests

>The regressive left is a cancer.

I have no idea if you're talking about the Bernies Bros or the Clintonistas, but the whole Democratic Party is cancer and refusing chemo.

>run large organizations and manage people
This is not the same as running a country and doing the best for people. You can't just fire your population to reduce your expenses or put the treasury in a Caymen Islands bank account.

>Being this obtuse

Name one person is Trump's cabinet who ran only charitable organizations. Go on, I'll wait.

And what do you think is done with those profits? Do you think maybe they're distributed to shareholders?

>if I repeat my opinion with no further evidence, maybe they'll all believe me

This is the only reason I voted for him. Anything else is just cream on the cake.

I don't think the whole Democratic Party is a cancer, just as I don't think the whole Republican Party is a cancer. I'm a leftist myself, but sure as hell I'm rather worried by these retards crying "DISCRIMINATION SEXISM ISLAMOPHOBIA" all over the place. And I fucking hate Islam. I don't know why the republicans do, though, as muslims are usually even more conservative than right wingers already are (and in fact, AFAIK, usually vote republican, as they can't stand abortion and LGBT rights)

Perhaps you'd care to share why you think Trump isn't going to do what user said

Hopefully they end their lives.

I hope the liberal's fear that Trump will put them all in death camps comes true. But we all know something that WONDERFUL will never happen.

>m not worried by Trump at the presidency, I'm worried about who is happy of this result.

I'm ecstatic about the result, but only because Hillary lost.

I didn't care who won as long as it wasn't the cunt.

...

>the world comes to its senses regarding nukes"
Why do I think he probably thinks that means America are allowed to have them and no one else is.

Pretty hypocritical being lectured on the dangers of nuclear weapons by a country who killed hundreds of thousands using them.

It's going to be fact come January 20th.

This is the SJWT, the Social Justice Warrior Telescope. It was built for free by Obama and will be operational by 2018. Let me tell you, it's capable of detecting microagressions on unprecedented detail, anywhere in the universe. You just be prepared for retaliation Trump supporters!

This tbh.

I didn't like Trump and still don't, but the corruption and the propaganda and the lies, all of that helping us uncover the massive network of corruption that drove her campaign, all cherry topped with the record correcters being absolute dishonest cunts really made her loss so enjoyable to me.

The whole day at work on November 9th I laughed my ass off and cheered as I listened to quivering liberal voices and whining on NPR holy shit it was the best schadenfreude

The Clinton-Trump showdown was a fight in the mud to decide which one is the most disgusting. One is a cunt and the other is an asshole. I'm not happy of these results... but it is not my business. I'm a europoor.

Truth. We'll see people fucked over in the interest of lining the shareholders' (Trump and friends) pockets like never before.

Predictions of Trump not winning were based in having faith in human decency.

Predictions of Trump using the presidency to benefit himself no longer have that faith and imply those previous statements were revisited and the fault in logic corrected.

I think he's basically going to be Reagan mark 2 but probably a bit worse.

The system has been rigged in favor of the Oligarchy/Plutocracy to increasing degrees since 1945 and absolutely since 1980. How you think this is a better win for them is beyond me. They want neo-liberal trade/economics and neo-con security approach. Trump is neither.

Either you're ignorant, stupid or you're a shill. This is so goddamn apparent to anyone who pays attention.

...

>fear mongering

>state my opinion with no further evidence, maybe they'll all believe me

Predictions of Trump not winning were based on not being Americans.

Unfortunately they forgot to account for the fact that this is a country where million of people a year buy alien abduction insurance.

>actually believing you replaced the old plutocracy with anything but a new one

>I don't think the whole Democratic Party is a cancer,

Gotta disagree with you, champ. I'm a leftist myself, but the Democratic Party is not left at all anymore.

>Drug legalization
>>We won't support it, but we won't fight it, if passed by state referendum, at the Federal level

>Gay marriage
>>We won't try to overturn the SCOTUS decision, so you can't keep criticizing us for being anti-LGBT anymore (and we've always been pro-LGBT, especially DOMA & DODA!)

>Public post-secondary education
>>We'll forgive SOME debt, but keep the current system that drove tuition through the roof and keep loans unforgivable in bankruptcy

>Unions
>>Unions that donate to the DNC must be protected at all costs!
>>"Independent contractors" are not employees and have no rights!

>Universal Healthcare
>>We'll try to protect Obamacare, but we intend to lose and there will never be a single-payer system, you socialist degenerate.

>Foreign Policy
>>We want to fight all the people the Republicans want to fight for MUH FREEDOM

>Minimum wage reform
>>We won't fight it at the state level!

>Finance regulation
>>HA HA HA OH WOW.JPG

>alien abduction insurance
Holy fuck that's a real thing. Earth needs another cleansing.

Which is rather right, but again, I don't think you guys in America even know what a left party is. You have a center right party and a center party... the only real left-wing thing you have ever seen is Sanders. The guy wouldn't even be that bad, if only he could shred some light about that little detail. You know, the "WHERE AM I GONNA TAKE MY MONEY FROM?" thing.

Cabinet picks alone don't have shit on the cabinet picks of the past 15 years combined with the same entities buying our executive, CFR stacking cabinets, lobbyists in general being given free reign without negative press by the leaders, and really the constant obvious structuring of our society in favor of neo-liberal and neo-con policies that benefit the powerful at the expense of the poor and middle class.

I repeat, you are either dumb, ignorant or a shill. Anyone who has been paying attention can see this a mile away.

I'm a Libertarian and we are the left-wing party on social issues. We're even left wing in the original sense for economic issues, but muh laissez-faire is somehow still considered rightist even after Bush and now Trump.

More and more of us are left without an effective political party that represents mainstream Americans. It's hard to believe, but the Libertarian Party was the only party this year with a candidate who has never peddled conspiracy theories in public. Maybe we will be considered respectable in 2020.

That's a long-winded way of repeating what I just said. Trump will be more of the same at best. More likely, he'll be worse.

The crux of this is the neo liberal and neo con polices. Those polices are the canary in the coal mine for underlying establishment control. If that is contested and erased, the establishment is no longer in control or full control at least.

So no, you're wrong, you're either ignorant, stupid or a shill.

>libertarian candidate is respectable
>what's Aleppo?

Good. As a Liberal I am so ready for Russia and USA to leave NATO and work together in Syria.

More short-sighted bullshit. Again, you simply replaced one plutocracy with another. Maybe you'll come to realize that over the next four years, but I doubt it.

This post makes me feel ashamed :(

>calls me short sighted
>cites cabinet picks rather than the overarching themes

Holy fucking projection lmao

I don't even like trump btw, but all you ignorant clowns or shills try that same strategy. As if you have to argue against trump at all times or you're his supporter. Fucking pathetic.

Not a liberal but I voted Trump for lulz. All we can do is wait and see what he does.

...

...

...

...

Trump supporter logic:

>Trump says dumb shit
>Oh but what he really means is...
>Trump tweets dumb shit
>Oh what he really doing is...
>Hilary says dumb shit
>THAT LYING BITCH!!! LOCK HER UP LOCK HER UP REEEEEEEEEEEEE

It isn't just about cabinet picks, user. Let's talk about "overarching themes." How about Trump attempting to reignite the Cold War by calling for a nuclear arms race, or his use of unprecedented rhetoric to piss off global powers like China?

Agreed. The Republicans showed themselves to be more democratic than the Democrats by nominating a candidate they hated simply because he received the most votes. If the Democrats had been honest to their principles, Bernie Sanders would have been elected. But nooooo, they have to line up for Her Reptilian Majesty's gravy-train.

Fucking Democrats deserved to be buried under their own greed.

Trump shitposts on twitter to manipulate the media narrative, ie when he sent Pence to see "Hamiliton" to drum up controversy while taking eyes off his quiet settlement of the Trump University suit.

>Republican candidate is respectable
>What is "You gotta torture 'em, you gotta do it"?
>What is "grab 'em by the pussy"?
>What is "Muslim registry"?

>Democratic candidate is QUALIFIED
>What is "Moscow Spring"?
>What is "Benghazi"?
>What is a "superpredator"?

Yeah, keep trotting out the one brain fart the Libertarian had on a gotcha question during the entire campaign, it really makes the Republicrat candidates look great as they consistently refused to back down on their terrible policies. But what's substance in the Republican and Democratic parties, if not the absolute number of dollars a candidate can bring in for the PACs?

Sure I was upset when he won, but I said "this is the electoral process. I'm not going to advocate blocking everything he does just because he's Trump- which is what Republicans did to Obama because they are partisan children. Let's see where this goes..."

And then the next day he brings in Banon (sic?) as his Cheif of Staff who created a media front for Neo-Nazis
And he brings in Rick Perry, who is not only a fucking moron, but makes him Energy Secretary for the Department he campaigned on eliminating
And he brings in Pruitt to lead the EPA...who also wants to neuter its powers. Say what you want about regulation, but without the EPA, Chicago and NYC would be smog-towns like Beijing.
And he brings in Sessions who doesn't believe gays should have equal rights.
And Tillerson who is an Oil head (but may have at least relatable experience)

Basically, he promised to drain the swamp and populated his Cabinet with Swamp Things who are at best did Trump favors and at worst are inexperienced nominees who did are inherently against the positions they are supposed to hold.

He has faaaaaar worse conflicts of interest than Hillary Clinton ever had. He has no idea what the hell he's talking about- he doesn't even know which heads of state he SHOULD be talking and what he should talk to him about!
While he's pissing off foreign leaders he's pissing off the military with these ridiculous statements about expanding our Nuke capabilities. Yes, we need better nuke systems for the safety security and safety of their operation and maintenance but there is no good reason to make more nuclear weapons

He made promises to the public he can't make. Policy experts have said that there's no way his tax plans can possibly lead to anything less than a recession

He doesn't understand that a lot of American jobs have BEEN LOST MORE TO AUTOMATION THAN OUTSOURCING.
...(cont'd)

I don't feel bad at all to be honest.

I'm fine letting the technicalities of the system provide a result that makes conservatives think they have objectively won something. Go ahead, try to do what you will for 2 years, the backlash will be even harder the more you attempt to disband from the past 8 years.

Donald Trump LOST the popular vote by almost 3 MILLION votes.
Republicans LOST seats in the house.
Republicans LOST seats in the senate.
So no. I'm not upset. I do think see this as us losing ground. I see it as the opposite; the slow deterioration of the conservative movement as it struggles with Trumpism.
In 2 years you'll lose more seats and in 2 more, if Trump is still in the white house, you'll lose that too.

So by all means, enjoy the pyrrhic victory, but don't delude yourselves into thinking it represents some strong will of the American majority, because in reality the wind is blowing the other way, and if you fail to accept that, it's only going to hurt you more in the next election.

New user here, I just had a gut reaction when I heard Johnson talk about global warming. That, and religious tolerance versus religious freedom. I couldn't in good conscience ever vote for Johnson. His VP seemed more on point with everything, strangely enough.

> I'm not going to advocate blocking everything he does just because he's Trump- which is what Republicans did to Obama because they are partisan children.

FUCKING THIS

>Why don't you just give Donald Trump a chance?
I'm a liberal and this is what I was telling my other liberal friends "guys he hasn't done anything yet", but then he started picking his cabinet.

The next 8 years should be great

>How do you feel now after the election?
Pretty upset and alarmed, to be quite honest with you. It's a feeling I share with a lot of people in this country and worldwide.

>8 years

...(cont'd)

He doesn't understand that many (no not all! but many) jobs that illegal immigrants do in this country are underpaid jobs that "most real Americans" wouldn't even bother doing. Tomato Picker? yeah, nobody's sad to have lost that job

He made the DeVos his Secretary for Education... a Charter school champion in charge of public schools. How has this not raised more eyebrows?

He doesn't understand that Americans don't just need more jobs but jobs with more hours... like a real 40 hour work week

He has zero plan for replacing Obamacare. Furthermore he doesn't understand the healthcare system, or Welfare system, which is why he put Ben Carson in charge of it- a guy in the running with Sarah Palin for Most Bizarre Statements Made During a Campaign
Shit! I don't think he understands ANY of our social safety nets!

He has zero plan for ISIS. More Americans get by cops every year.

On top of that are the questionable business interest actions that have come out recently:
Trump Towers now advertising the Secret Service as an amenity
Pushing diplomats to stay at the DC hotel he owns
I'm sure a quick google search will yield more

To be fair, he has promised one thing I've been screaming about for a decade: Repairing our infrastructure. But you know what? That's not nearly enough to counter all of the highly unethical choices he's made

These are all very real, very concerning realities that everyone needs to pay attention to. These aren't liberal concoctions, these are concrete facts. It's not brushing him off as "the Next Hitler" without backing him up. This is what is happening right now and the worst thing about this laundry list is he isn't even technically President yet. And because Republicans are more loyal to their party than their country, he's going to get away with it all, breaking down the checks and balances the Constitution promised

...(cont'd)...

They still think the Democratic party is the good guys.

>implying communists have ever been good guys

>implying communists aren't always the good guys

So to wrap this up OP I want you to realize something. I based my arguments in reality. Not name-calling, not Hillary-supporting, not liberal-circle-jerking. You asked why not Trump? I gave you a sharp, directed, honest response. You may not like it, but even if you're just trolling I hope you respect it.

So when you ask me why I haven't given Donal Trump a chance, it's because the deck is stacked so far out of reality I have trouble wrapping my fucking head around why the rest of the US isn't screaming at the rooftops about the most bizarre thing I have ever seen in my life.

I was once a Democrat and then I got sick of both parties and went independent. And as much as I agree with a lot of my liberal friends on social and environmental policies I am sick of them trying to catch everyone in a smug "gotchya moment". I get it. I do.

But the most dangerous thing right now is that everyone is shoving ideological dogma at everyone, like pushing their opponents' faces in mud, things like ACTUAL First Amendment rights, Civil Liberties, Scientific Advancement- things that aren't just important to America but also the entire world are completely lost like an echo in space. Because it's more important to be right than to do the right thing. And that is what upsets and concerns me the most

Sincerely,
user

So are hardcore Trump supporters. Extremes on both sides are ridiculous.

bun trump.

>fear mongering
It's simple fact, user. Trump won't magically become a different person after he takes office. He'll be the same con artist he has been for the past 30 years.
