Gravity>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>meme>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>memest

They're both good, but gravity was... Sandra Fucking Bullock. I could not hate her anymore. I didn't mind her in Speed.

i really liked interstellar
despite that fucking third act

interstellar doesn't fit in with these two. martian and gravity at least try to be realistic. interstellar is just pure science fiction with some realistic elements. might just as well add a space odyssey and star trek

gravity was propably the worst film l saw in cinema

Martian>Gravity>Interstellar

interstellar >>> gravity > martian

Sunshine>Moon>Martian>Interstellar>Europa Report

Sunshine

Gravity>Interstellar>>>The Martian

>i do not understand suspension of disbelief

Gravity = flick
The Martian = movie
Interstellar = film.

yeah but that's not what I meant

this tbqhs

Noice

you posted 3 terrible sci fi movies op

Good taste user

apparently you don't
suspension of disbelief doesn't mean ignoring obviously bad scenes and writing

Why isn't Solaris on this list...oh right...you've only seen movies in the last 5 years cause you're 13. Right.

You can't compare them. It's not because it's in space that it's the same kind of movies.

Interstellar is a bit like 2001 but worse. And since 2001 was (and still is btw) absolute trash, that speak volumes about interstellar.

The Martian is a 9fag meme and Gravity is Speed in space.

I'm not even a Sup Forums retard but that literally took me out of the movie.

The new Malick doc: Voyage of Time

I liked the lizard guy

Yeah this.

This.

Gravity was pretentious garbage.

The Martian was a solid Disney-like plot driven story added with reddit humor elements to make it accessible to everyone, literally made by a comittee, a problem with most movies today. Enjoyable but forgettable.

Interstellar was the best, despite some flaws. It actually tried to push the boundaries and DO SOMETHING, there was a sense of wonder and the visuals were done well, the characters you cared for somewhat. It had it's flaws with clunky dialogue and a third act on autopilot but it actually tried to be original and different.

>Honorable mention
>>Pandorum

I was gonna mention that, but I thought it was hypocritical to mention it since I couldn't finish it.

SMEE, ANALYZE BANE'S SIZE

Dude, these were 3 hits. Solaris wasn't even a hit when it came out. That says nothing about quality. Just saying it's a totally understandable comparison.

>I CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEATE LIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE
>Kino
What?

This 100%

Ironically the ending saved that movie for me.

Is this the next phase of APOLOGIZE

>Interstellar is a bit like 2001 but worse.
How? 2001 was the "Space philisophy """""""DEEEEEP SHIT"""""" while Interstellar was "Space action movie #264284", I don't see the resemblance except for the aesthetic.

Maybe I'll give it a shot again someday. It didn't seem bad or anything, just wasn't keeping me interested and I was kinda fed up with that type of movie.

I don't even see a resemblance in the aesthetic.

Interstellar is still the best film I've ever had the immense pleasure of experiencing in cinemas. Absolutely incredibly beautiful- beautiful cinematography, epic and vivid score, and wondrous performances by all members of the cast. My only regrets are not seeing the film in both Imax, as well as only seeing it in theaters once

...

There are a few shots exactly as 2001 (I think is more like a homage than to trying to copy it), some other moments I remember are when Cooper falls in the Dark Hole and he starts screaming, and when they are in some alley.

Interstellar and gravity top tier
Martian okay tier

Realistic ratings, I'm not even trolling:

Gravity 2/10
Interstellar 4/10
The Martian 1/10

Space shit.

I wonder how your rating works, I don't like any of these but they are solid 6 or 7 to me. IMO stuff like parody movies and Sharknado type movies those are the real 1/10

>people are actually defending the martian in this thread
>people are actually defending "fuck you neil armstrong!"
>people are actually defending "le space pirate XD"
>people are actually defending "I gotta science le shit out of this!"
>people are actually defending "I hate le disco music but I play it anyway to complain about it XD"
>people are actually defending "yo hol up, I am a magical negro and I'm here to explain basic physics to the director of NASA"

>"yo hol up, I am a magical negro and I'm here to explain basic physics to the director of NASA"

kekty keko

Maybe if you include the book, but the Martian movie is a hollow shell of it's original source material. Interstellar is the best visually and scientifically.

>i don't like any of these
>but they are above average (5)

how can you dislike above average? adopt a proper rating system, user.

inception

Gravity bored me to death and I give it 2 because of few nice shots.

Interstellar is Nolan's and I find Nolan terrible, but gave it 4 due to class acting performances.

The Martian is just one of the dullest space films ever, total abomination.

And I'm the guy who thinks 2001 is Top 5 kino, so don't call me out on some ADD shit, brother.

>a hollow shell of it's original source material

The source material:
>You know what? "Kilowatt-hour per sol" is a pain in the ass to say. I'm gonna invent a new scientific unit name. One kilowatt-hour per sol is... it can be anything... um... I suck at this... I'll call it a "pirate-ninja".

It was Nolanshit, which puts it in the same tier as Inception to me(I enjoyed both). The deeper meanings and philosophical ideas are wonderful, but the dialogue is cringey and it's needlessly "complicated". And before you say only retards don't get it or something, it isn't really that complex, but for some reason Nolan's pretentiousness(or more likely, his actual autism( comes into play and he ruins his own movies for the general public by doing this. I love the ideas, meaning, metaphor, symbolism etc in those movies, but a movie is supposed to be entertaining and enjoyable while having those deeper layers. Inception and Interstellar have the deeper layers, but they fail at the most important part, the actual storytelling, the characters, dialogue, pacing, etc.

now I see why the book became such a hit

GET REKT Nolan plebs

They all suck and you know it!

yep, it's autism

He clearly said he didn't like the plot, you faggot.

>but a movie is supposed to be entertaining and enjoyable while having those deeper layers.

Which it was and did have.

It had a very good story and mostly good characters. The dialogue was an issue at times, because Nolan sometimes writes unnatural dialogue, but it was a good fucking story and film overall.

fucking this. Le space potato man was reddit trash of the highest caliber

Martian >= Gravity >>>>>> trash >>> interstellar

I un ironically liked tdk, inception and the prestige but interstellar was hot trash

>Harrison Ford reaction

You'd think someone with such particular taste would bother to have their reaction folder feature people who have made at the very least a single good movie.

The Martian was the best.

Interstellar was too heavy handed about it's message of love (stupid)

Gravoty was just zero g porn with no substance (but she looked like a fetus!!)

WHERE THE FUCK IS MOON?

Gravity is our generation's Space Balls

Martian was way more boring compared to Gravity

everyone who says interstellar is good has shit taste. But it's probably the best out of the three.

Still, I wonder why so many people like that garbage. half the movie are shitty character build up and the plot is shit. The visuals are the only good thing about it.

It's also so stupid and unrealistic. I mean seriously? They didn't think that the People they send to the planets wouldn't send fake signals so people rescue them?

nay no, brother.
You didn't think martian was boring compared to the other two?

Event Horizon

THIS

in the trash, where it belongs.

>Matt Damon dicking around on Mars interspersed with Sean Bean and Jeff Daniels bickering
>More boring than Sandra "No Personality" Bullocks talking to herself for an hour and a half to a CGI backdrop

>They didn't think that the People they send to the planets wouldn't send fake signals so people rescue them?

No, because they're supposed to be scientific and responsible. True, they had too much faith in Damon, but it wasn't unthinkable.

Oh get the fuck out of here with that kind of talk. Moon was awesome (not the best) but awesome

>No, because they're supposed to be scientific and responsible.

If you are scientific and responsible you would do it. Only a madman fanatic would take his own life.

But we were travelling through space with Gravity. There was actual action.
Instead of some dickbag making youtube videos about potoatoes covered in his shit - Interspersed with expensive and unnecessary cameos

They're on a mission to fucking save humanity. Fuck off.

Yeah. Damon turned into a madman in interstellar. What with the bomb and the hand combat with Mconahay

>MUH POTATOES
>MUH FECAL MATTER

yeah, sure a lot of people would take their own life for humanity. Especially the ones from their cushy ivy league schools.

retard.
