He's a treasure

Raising Arizona was fun.

Same

A true artist.

Grossly underrated as an actor, often put into shitty films.

But only statewide

...

I'd like to have his face

NOT

THE

THE

BEES

THE

Memes aside, is The Wicker Man really bad?

my runck cull is syckening

it is bad but I enjoyed it for nic cage

insane man

youtube.com/watch?v=OuyH89V_HV8

Amazing when he actually cares about the role, shit in most of his works because he's just in it to pay the balls.

Name his best and/or your favourite movies

Adaptation is his best

a national treasure

Lord of war his best

bringing out the dead
adaption
bad lieutenant
wild at heart

You know what was a fucking fun movie? Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. It didn't reinvent the wheel or break new ground but you can tell Cage and Herzog had a blast working on it and its a solid action with plenty of dark comedy. Most people overlook it for no real reason

vampire's kiss

Leaving las vegas

His natural demeanor just lends itself to nihilistic junkie characters so well

Shitty actor but a good actor.

I think to some extent he just has to play himself no matter what, so depending on what you hire him for it'll either go well or be an awkward mess

Is this supposed to be funny? This is trash.

Decent actor who for whatever reason takes whatever role is offered to him

most definitely his greatest dramatic role

He's not even the only actor out there who can only done thing, but theres something so uncanny about him in some roles. I think it has to do with his face.

What was the name of that film where his character was a wreck?

kek
What if he actually has some rare mental condition? Or if he's actually low key intoxicated at all times?

think he needs the money. didn't his accountant take everything he had a few years back?

Also a big gambling problem.

He has an absolutely atrocious record of finance management.

Kinda surprised he's not a scientologist

Bad Lieutenant? he does all sorts of outrageous stuff and is constantly on drugs

See, I took this post as a joke, cause it seems like every character he's ever played is a wreck to some degree in my opinion. BL really set the bar though.

why the fuck am I posting so much in a Nic Cage thread

i can see how that would easily happen. you're making millions and have pretty much everything handled by someone else. pretty easy to lose track of how much you have and just how much you're blowing through.

Jesus Christ. That was fucking awful. What did that have anything to do with Nicholas Cage??

He must be or have been somewhat naive or easily manipulated though, if all these are true.
That shit doesn't happen to every actor. That kind of suggestibility is what made me say this He also just seems like the type who would randomly start spouting some weird ass beliefs to his friends after a an hour or so at the bar

Yall saw that it said Community in the title and still chose to watch it

he is only good in pure comedies

>The IRS alleges that Cage failed to pay over $6.2 million in federal income tax for the year 2007.[88] In addition, the Internal Revenue Service has another lien for more than $350,000 in unpaid taxes dating from 2002 to 2004.[89] Cage filed a $20 million lawsuit on October 16, 2009, against his business manager, Samuel J. Levin, alleging negligence and fraud.
>Levin's filing states that "instead of listening to Levin, cross-defendant Cage (Coppola) spent most of his free time shopping for high ticket purchases, and wound up with 15 personal residences." Levin's complaint continued: "Likewise, Levin advised Coppola against buying a Gulfstream jet, against buying and owning a flotilla of yachts, against buying and owning a squadron of Rolls Royces, against buying millions of dollars in jewelry and art."
>Levin says that in 2007, Cage's "shopping spree entailed the purchase of three additional residences at a total cost of more than $33 million; the purchase of 22 automobiles (including 9 Rolls Royces); 12 purchases of expensive jewelry; and 47 purchases of artwork and exotic items." One of those exotic items was a dinosaur skull of a Tarbosaurus for which Nicolas Cage paid $276,000 in an auction after winning a bidding contest against Leonardo DiCaprio. After discovering that the Tarbosaurus skull was stolen, he has since returned it to the Mongolian authorities.

Yeah right, on paper it was all rolls royces and jets, but the real truth, it was something more sinister.

What the fuck man

I wanna hang out with Cage for a day

>ywn indulge in a 48 hour meth, heroin, alcohol, nitrous, and viagra binge while fucking a harem of kidnapped suburban white child sex slaves and exclusively eating human meat dishes prepared by Russian cannibal gourmet chefs with Nicholas Cage on his private island that has remained undetectable by any nation's government since 1973

Adaptation is one of my favourite movies and my boy cage was good in it. I've also been meaning to watch Valley Girl. What do you think of these two movies?

human form of kino

I liked Ghost Rider. It was just fucking fun.

>living the dream

Best Cage movie

youtube.com/watch?v=nGvbfKTS7ag

this is the correct answer

Why do I never see people mention Matchstick Men when talking about Cage? I really liked it despite the plot being a bit stupid at times.

Leaving Las Vegas and Bringing Out the Dead were great, the man needs a new agent

his agent's fine

Dude everything has been said about Nic.
He's batshit insane.
He's so fucking entertaining whatever acting "technique" he uses.
He spends like a sailor who came back from chasing moby dick.

He fits in so many different acting categories..
So bad it's good core
generic comfy action type of flicks
and masterpieces where he displays true fucking artistic genius

Lord of War will always be his best piece.

Yes, but it should still be worth mentioning, no?

I hate sam rockwell

Why?

weather man was pretty good desu. bad liutenant was kino

My masturbation cock pulsates

>I'd like to take his Face/Off, starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage
Shot up the theater at that part.

>Face/Off
Is this Woo's only good american movie?

Doesn't he also have a moon rock?

it is his worst american movie, which is saying something.

Agreed. I'd love to see another Herzog/Cage movie.

He can't act for shit. He has two modes, mumbling and devouring the scenery. No range inbetween.

Some people say I look like him. I'm not sure if that is a compliment.

Bad Lieutenant was best insanecore, other than that Lord of War

Can any explain to me what this is? I think this is his weirdest role - this is his only scene in the movie and it's baffling

youtube.com/watch?v=gCi3ZQWA6j8

Stop this shit NooOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW

no what's that one he did with Christian Slater? that was alright

I genuinely think he's a treasure.

There are so many people out there who don't put any effort or passion into things.

Nic's a funny case, because he does choose hack roles, but he doesn't exactly do a hack job in them. He'll take the dumbest type of cynical blockbuster and make it funny and weird and surreal for having him in it.

In other words, he makes things interesting. I genuinely love people who make life more interesting. So I have nothing but praise for them man (and yes, he actually is a really good actor).
