If there is some kind of God, some sort of omnipotent creator of all life, do you really think said entity would be so petty as to cast a human being (a child of his/her own) into a life of damnation because they broke a single little law? Because I don't.
In the Catholic faith there is Lent where we are to give up something for a period of time that we normally enjoy and we are not to eat Red Meat on certain Fridays. Do you really believe in some all seeing/all understanding entity that will curse you to eternal damnation because you ate a cheese burger on a day you were not supposed to?
This is the problem with all religion, if there is an omnipotent entity above us all, how could it be so petty that it sends us to Hell because we didn't worship him/her correctly?
