Kinda hard to see but i love the style

>those cables
no

Why didn't you get an ibanez fireman?

Started 9 months ago on guitar.
palyed drums since 12.
played piano since 12.
plays the harmonica too.

this is what i bought, a Fender CD-60
cheap shit, but on a tight budget while studying.
Any tips for a new guy?
got all the basic barre chords fitted now, where do i go next?

i have a 79 iceman op with flying finger pickups

kinda wish the headstock was reversed, but all in all I'm in love with this guitar. By far the best playing, and once I swapped the pickups, the best sounding guitar I've ever laid my hands on.
I was actually looking to get a red quilted maple one first, but it looks better than I expected with flat black.

Chordbook.com

I've my old ass Lenovo siting on top of a cardboard box plugged into a Casio, so it seems like cables laying around is the least of my worries. Also, I often move the piano and that's my only laptop, so zip-tying cables together doesn't make a whole lot of sense for me right now.

This was for you:

the jackson spear headstocks are so sweet. got an slsmg and a slathx7 myself.

Stop going for simple chords, get some proper melodic stuff going. Else you'll just be the douche at the party hated by everyone with even the slightest fiber of musicality in them there.

The cables laying around is not the problem. The cables themselves, with those adapters. Have some dignity, please.

I actually prefer single sided headstocks, especially reversed ones, but these are pretty nice for what they are.

Do you guys like the sounds of acoustic or electric better?

Also, pics, I want more porn

Depends on a lot of factors. It's like outweighing nylon to steel or bronze

Don't care about being a douche. I play the guitar because I like it, not because I want others to like me. Don't wanna be a 'look at me, im a rock'n'roller' faggot'.

>get some proper melodic stuff going
Any tips on how to get started? Any particular palce I should look?

This always depends on the application. What kind of question is this? It's like asking a painter what colour is the best.
>I mainly play death metal
I think you can figure out what I use the most, but that hardly means my death metal tone is suitable for everything.

Okay, fair enough... sorta. The adapter needed for the laptop headphone-out/mic-in is both entirely necessary; there's no laptop I'm aware of that has a thick gauge audio-out. As far as my headphones connected to the digital piano, yes, I suppose I could up my game there.

I tend to play with a buddy, he is good as fuck. I paly the basic chords and sing, he improvices. Great fun when high.

>I play guitar because I like it, not because I want others to like me
Good, that's a first step. The ones stuck in the 'strum simplified chords to songs everyone knows to swoon the ladies' are fucking cancer.

ultimate-guitar for tabs or guitarpro files. Find songs you like that sound reasonable to learn. At a certain point, you might have trouble finding stuff you actively listen to, so you'll have to play stuff you're not super into, but that's later on. Teach yourself how to mute strings you're not playing, that's something people often need to go back and learn because they didn't pay enough attention.
Torrent guitar pro 6 and pace songs down to a tempo you can play it in flawlessly, without effort. Then bump it up a TINY bit. This sounds time consuming, but it's way faster than playing sloppy 600 times and eventually getting it by luck alone, something you'll never be able to recreate without a backing track.
Also, always play with a metronome.

...

Get an audio interface. They're not that expesive if you're going for a single/dual input card.

This is the one I play the most probably, I also own an acoustic yamaha with steel strings, a spanish starsound that is very poor, and a fender mexico strat 60-year anniversary edition

This will probably stunt your growth. It's fun, and to some extent a way to get into the groove and synchronization, but you actually need to challenge yourself, and you can't do that in a setting like that.

>oh baby
You seem like a metal dude, got a band?

I also own a supreme bass...

And I got into playing guitar to impress my dad who played a lot of guitar himself, turned out better than him in the end because he refused to evolve

...

>Hagström
Oh yeeeeeeeee
Great guitars, haven't played any single cut full electrics though, only their semis.

too many dust

yes sir and yes sir.

current project has me on bass and vocals though.
just got our stuff back from mastering, came in pretty damn sweet.
how about you?

hngggggg
>fanned fret
>semi trans red
>reversed headstock
>that ass cut
I fucking love some of skervesen's projects

...

Thank you mate!

Very heavy too, it's an incredible strain on the neck and back to use for a whole concert. But so far I haven't had any troubles with it other than when I play jazz, I can't do a proper reach around with the thumb on the neck because it's a little too sharp

What would that do for me? The audio out from my laptop can be relative crap—I only need it to hear YouTube and the like while having my headphones on—as the MIDI interface on my laptop is connected via USB to the digital piano. Therefore, the only audio I care about being in high fidelity is the audio generated from my digital piano, and I've headphone directly connected to that.

I use ultimateguitar for tabs and such. I know how to mute strings and i love to 'play' along on blues backing tracks.
Do you think it will help looking at youtube videos?

Willing to share some?
I play in a death metal/goregrind band
We're done with a full length, but still need to sort out manufacturing of hard copies. Most major manufacturing companies have policies demanding you to register your stuff in a database that doesn't comply with the content licenses we want.
youtube.com/watch?v=QBkorGFOoRo

To some extent. Face to face lessons is underrated though. Just play a fuckton and challenge yourself, I'm sure you'll find a way to progress.

I had 12 when started, my brother's friend had a guitar and I love this shit since then. I have a Harlie Benton Stratocaster Junior which I bought because I was so little and after a year i bought a Dean Explorer ZX, its a cheap guiar but its not too much crap. Will leave some pics of me and some from google.

Then what are you using the midi for? I'd imagine you'd have *some* intent to record yourself at some point? What's your second 3.5mm cable for?

not uploaded at the moment, but if you want you can check facebook /pestifera138 for news

...

>videos on facebook
I like what I'm hearing

...

nice to hear mate. stuff has changed a lot though. setup in the videos is just 2 guitars and drums, so no me yet, more of a death metal vocalist

your stuff is pretty rad too, not really my taste though. love how the bass gets credit in some parts

not mine, but this one is a beaut

alright.
Thanks man! Ill hope to improve!

I'm definitely one to want the bass loud in the mix. I can understand how this isn't really the stuff most people find appealing, even in the metal community, lol.

...

Im waiting for Tosin Abasi's new prototype from Ibanez to get a production model

as long as yer avin fun it's all cool, isn't it

The MIDI interface right now is so I can learn the piano. I'm new at this. I've software to learn "formally" with sheet music, and other software that'll take a .mid file and give me a guitar-heroish interface as seen in my first picture.

...

Yeah, never paint for the gallery!

need sauce

Are those worth a shit? Thought about getting one. Here's some of mine

Sorry, my guitar porn folder is worthless when it comes to categories. It might be a skervesen or a halo. Got it from facebook. I think this is another shot of it.

Oh wait, I'm fairly certain it's a mayones!

Here she is!

Shit tier guitar is shit

>Why did you start playing?
Because of this:
youtube.com/watch?v=bbegOR_bHhw
I think I heard that song when I was 13 or 14 and it was mindblowing. It sparked my interest in playing music and not just listening to it.
>How old were you when you started?
16.

>black
>fender acoustic
Not a bad guitar. You don't have to cash out loads to get a decent sound.

Wow, never seen anyone with a Fujigen branded guitar. I bet it plays like a fucking champ.

I like your reasons for starting, good shit user.

How come?
Are you just mad that someone prefers something else than you visually, or do you have any real reason for your claim?
>inb4 it's a metal guitar
>only kids play metal
>implying guitars are made for specific genres

It plays pretty much the same as any Prestige Ibanez or a little better due to the asymmetric neck profile. The body isn't as ergonomic though and I'm not a huge fan of the bridge either. I'm still happy that I bought it and it's also insane value for money. 799€ for a Japanese guitar that comes with Duncans and Gotoh tuners is the second best value I know of after Flaxwood Hybrid.

Indeed. Currently listening to this:
youtube.com/watch?v=IIJ56d-8yPs
I think Sigh is my current favourite band. You Oshima and Shinichi Ishikawa are insane guitarists. The other members are also unbelievably talented.

Great stuff, user!
Regarding the guitars, I always assumed I liked Ibanez necks the best, since they were what I always felt comfortable with. Once I got my Jackson I don't think I'll be going back to such thin necks again. They're great, but something is just so spot on with this. Would still love to try a Fujigen.

>That Aria/Vantage in the back? She's a beaut

OMG you actually know what that is. You sir are gold. I've had that since 1981

Saving up on this beauty

Paul Stanley/10

Patrician taste

everyone knows casio makes the best pianos, digital or otherwise -_-

>Stock pickups
Trash

My dad used to have an Aria bass, which he traded for something I can't remember.. The most stupid thing he's ever done, in his own words.

I'm a huge fan of 70's and 80's guitars from Japan. ESPECIALLY ones with natural finishes.
Aria/Vantage, Ibanez Lawsuits and PF models, Univox, Greco. Anything from the Hoshino or Fujigen factories.
Nice collection user, keep the dream alive

Would fuck

NIGGA IS THAT A PLINI

It's almost certainly a Strandberg

No, it's a turbo.

Kek, I don't know the model names, looks to be a plini.

No shit, but a Plini signature model

My bad, see:

1966 Epiphone Wilshire and 1973 Hagstrom Swede.
>Why start play?
I thought Malcolm and Angus Young were the coolest dudes on Earth in 1980.
>How old is start?
Started when I was 14.

>
Thanks, just lube up and wipe her down when you're done.

There's a lot worse things you could be than Paul Stanley
