Well Sup Forums I have a question for you. I've been asked to do an acoustic set in a pub on Sunday night; I was wondering if you guys might have any suggestions as to what might go down well.
I'm thinking mostly Dad Rock and a few more poppy songs sprinkled in to keep the casual listeners engaged.
Dadrock always goes down well, but throw in the good shit that people still recognize like Here Comes the Sun or some Hendrix. Also play a few obscure songs so that people get excited when you play a song that they know.
Matthew Stewart
Wonderwall, bitches love Wonderwall
Luke Roberts
Asturias
Cameron Young
Oh that's a good idea actually with the obscure songs.. Here comes the sun is also a good shout. Thanks user.

Dylan Sullivan
Nah, it's a legit pub. Maybe next time though
Connor White
>Here Comes the Sun or some Hendrix >not dadrock
Isaac Hill
People in their 20s will always recognize those early 2000s pop songs, like sugar ray's someday and shit like that. If the crowds older than that I'd say dad rock it is
Nicholas Bell
I wrote that weird, I meant it as good dadrock stuff. I didn't mean that Hendrix wasn't dadrock.
Gavin Williams
Good shout, I have R Kelly's Ignition and Lil Jon's Get Low for the 20 somethings. I'm playing around with Let's Get It Started too.
Cooper Miller
if I could play in a bar i'd play TVZ probably, seems like fun with the finger picking but also suits the mood
Charles Flores

Juan Young

Oh fuck, I'd love to play Both Sides Now and Big Yellow Taxi. Thanks for the reminder user!
Andrew Lewis
Yeah, I'd maybe watch the EQ when the fuzz comes on. It's a bit much on the bass at the moment.
Joseph Fisher
Watch out, to get that song right you gotta play it in open D.
Or play it G A D, most people won't notice.7
Brayden Young

Is the two bit cover artist playing Wonderwall like a universal joke amongst singer songwriters? I remember going to see a one act play once about aspiring musicians at a bar, and the running joke was that every guy that went up for the open mike played Wonderwall.
Also you should play a bunch of Leonard Cohen songs and pass them off as your own, see if anyone actually catches you
