Silence of the Lambs
500 Days of Summer. She actually watches it because it tricks you into thinking its a rom com and has an attractive male lead. Rapidly degrades into a bittersweet movie about getting your fuckin life together.
Solaris
Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless mind.
My fav love movie, and I don't like the genre that much.
In the Mood For Love
The Fisher King
the fountain is ~deep~, and not very long which is ideal
Hannibal
Buffalo '66.

A Serbian Film
Chungking Express is the obvious serious answer.
The one I love
Her
Love by Gaspar Noe is actually pretty romantic if you can see past the porn scenes. But also hella depressing. But don't watch it if she isn't cool with arthouse or if your relationship is not very long and very trusting.
howard the duck
Amelie, i never liked romances or anything of that sort, but Amelie is easily my favourite movie of all time. Plus, the romance isnt weird and jucky, and instead of being only romance, it comes in during the second half of the movie. The ending will make anyone cry though, so make an excuse beforehand if that happends.

>Solaris
>romantic
You should specify the American version, as the Soviet original had a high body count for "romantic" movie.

heard its a 4-Dimensional being.
look at it while listening to youtube.com
spooky
Well I enjoyed it and I'd say it's definitely worth a watch despite the long run-time. Because of its non-linear story structure with intertwining plot-lines it gets often compared to Cloud Atlas but it's much better in every conceivable way.
It kinda falls in a gray area where 'normies' would call it pretentious and or boring while 'patricians' would critisize the style over substance approach. Similar to Valhalla Rising or other Refn movies.
Anyway, it has some really interesting visuals and a fantastic soundtrack which are reason enough to watch it imo.
i love Valhalla Rising so guess i'll check it out. i even have it downloaded already. thx for the (You).
I felt like I had wasted my time after watching it.
i've seen comments like this about it before, i'll see for myself.
cool

Eyes Wide Shut is the non-plebeian answer. Not that you or anyone would care.
It's brilliant. Blew my mind in terms of how meta a film can get.
I consider it one of the more sincere and personal movies done I've seen in recent years on this level of high-end production value. Not even trolling.
Or you're simply retarded.
love in the time of cholera
