Indie rock was a fucking joke.

Martin Mystery
The paper chase put out some fantastic albums during that time.
The beat to this song is actually fucking GOAT
Shit man, thanks. That's been an unsolved mystery for me for years
I just think it's so great for lots of reasons
"I wanna sign you to the label Mr. Soulja boy"
"Meet me at my crib"
it's just fantastic
Yeah, the steel drums are very nice.
It's honestly kinda sad that Soulja Boy is the one rapper from 10 years ago that would fit in just as well in the modern hip hop scene.
07, 08, and 09 were dope stfu
A man truly ahead of his time.
Mike Jones also sort of fits that same bill.
I never thought the late 2000s would look as dated as the early 00s but they do now
Even one of the biggest rappers of all time is struggling. It's like a metaphor for life in that time. Rather than getting an 401k or real estate he bought a Bentley and Gucci glasses

I love this song, Britney spears trainwreck was just about as much fun as 9/11, sadly
>2000-06
>nu metal/post grunge

the 2000's were a dark time for music
probably the worst decade in the modern era of music

it is good because animal collective is in it
the 80s and 90s had the same amount or more shit
IF I GO CRAZY THEN WILL YOU STILL CALL ME SUPERMAN?

So THIS... is the pinnacle....... of 2000s.... "music"..... damn...
NO MAKE IT STOP
NOOOOOOOO
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
If you are talking about pop music then sure,
Other genres kept progressing and trying new sounds and styles.
>2006+11
>still hating on the Jonas Brothers
If you weren't playin vidya, watching animay, and going on youtube, and going on Sup Forums, as a kid in the 2000s I truly pity you.
The jonas brothers, along with High School Musical, was like being force fed shit
I KNOW WHAT REAL FOOD TASTES LIKE, DON'T GIVE ME THIS
80's maybe, there was a lot cornball metal, disco, and terrible pop music to burn through. But I don't know if it compares to sheer volume of absolute garbage the 00's produced.
It's hard to remember it all as its like a trauma, the brain tries to block it out of your head.
I think reddit is more up to your speed, friendo
they'd put it on in class, and all the other kids loved it. And it was just terrible. Every bit of it. It was a scourge on my life
HOW DARE YOU INSULT MY WOUNDS
everyone in this thread is forgetting about god tier ipod music
Posting the classic
No Adam Sandler
I'm never paying for one of your movies, and you can't make me
In what I hope is a conclusion, unfortunately the "2000s" are not over
I'm pretty sure the 2000s ended on December 31, 2009.
this is taking me back to when I had to ride back home from school on the bus and the bus driver would play terrible Country radio. Dumping some that still haunt me to this day

nah brah, we got like 80 some years left
the memes are too strong
00s decade is what we're talking about, not 00s century
The last decade that mattered
The rise and peak of indie
your wrong
What albums marked the peak of indie for you?
Because as I recall, indie started in the late '80s and peaked in the '90s.
2000-2009 were all good. You're looking in the wrong place.
I unironically like almost every Sandler movie up to Big Daddy
what about punch drunk love
Forgot about that one, yes.
NEVER MADE IT AS A WISE MAN
>2007 was 10 years ago
The 2000s was the decade where rock died because there were nothing but bland, shitty bands that didn't make kids want to pick up a guitar.
jesus that man looks like he wants to die
>we're closer to 2030 than we are 2000

YOU AND ME
WE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY
If there's one thing that takes me back to being a hormonal teen watching MTV at the very tail end of it's relevancy it's this gem.

That and Christina Aguilera's Dirrty. But Kylie actually had good albums.
This song is "so bad it's good"-tier.
>If you weren't playin vidya, watching animay, and going on youtube, and going on Sup Forums, as a kid in the 2000s I truly pity you.
kek I never thought browsing Sup Forums as a kid would be an object of nostalgia
Hollaback Girl is a great song you turbopleb.
2000 to 2005-2006 were decent for pop music.
t. born in 2001
The 80s were probably the second best decade for music with the best being the 1970s.
the 80s are objectively the worst in therms of pop music and pop culture
>early 00s
>cartoons as an example
>not skate culture
I HAVE NO LEGS
I really love indie rock and this album is FUCKING garbage and I don't understand its praise at all, I've given it 4 full listens and I still hate it.
Fuck you we're only 2 years closer to 2030
oldfag here. you don't get it, lad.
