why are you posting the fake remakes of vanishing point and gone in sixty seconds and not the real, good ones

Place Beyond the Pines

The Vanishing Point remake is on par with the original lad

seconded.

I didn't think it would count as a driving film though.

The original '71 version

How bad is the Viggo remake in comparison?

It's not terrible, but they changed the story and Kowalski's motivations a bit.

Дpaйв

Can you explain what they did? I'm gonna watch it either way.
And how's Viggo when compared to Barry Newman?

Condu

This.

The Viggo version had him driving home to see his sick wife whereas the Newman version was him running from his inner demons which are shown through some short flashbacks throughout the movie.
I haven't seen the viggo version in a long time so there may be more differences.

pic related.

Just TRY not to get hyped by this opening scene youtube.com/watch?v=FrqLec24cYM

...

>driving home to see his sick wife

That takes away from the struggle innit? Barry Newman was clearly on a warpath, Viggo doing that shit out of love just mellows the tone. It's disappointing tebehe, but I'll be watching it anyway. Thx for the info lad.

Also, was she death?

"
Sean Connery had said he wanted more money and left and Cubby Broccoli came to visit me and said, 'We want you to play James Bond'. And I said, in my infinite wisdom, 'An American can't play James Bond. It just can't be done'. Now, in the middle of the night, you hear me wake up in this cold sweat going, 'Bond, James Bond!'"
--Burt Reynolds

which reminds me - pic related might actually be the best. If you haven't seen it you are missing out.

>might actually be the best.

as good as INITIAL D?
kek

>eurobeat intensifies

I liked it more tebehe

The race episode of Space Dandy is amazing too.

Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
"You're all the same, the lot of you, with your long hair and faggot clothes."

Second

Though I wish it was a little more realistic racing and a little less romance

You... you didn't get the film did you user? You literally cut his motivation and what made the movie special in one stroke.

>INITIAL D
haven't seen that yet so i can't confirm

What ?! The over-the-top racing and the amazingly well done, subtle and not in your face romance are literally the best parts of the movie. They are the very reason the movie exists and is so unique. The fuck are you on about ? It's like saying "I like Predator - just wish it had more realistic use of weapons and a little less predator in it"

It's weird that this cap even has subtitles since this movie has almost no dialogue.

What is the Carmageddon of cinema?

Nobody in that movie has an endgame. That's why the movie is cyclical and the film ends with a hole burning through the film.

I liked it fine, but the last 5 minutes were too silly for me. All that triple gold nitro power of love stuff.

If the title of the movie was "space elvis finds love" then your analogy would be right.

Are you actually complaining about realism in a film with Mutant Space Babies and fucking Dogmen and Nitroshit and 4-handed mechanics?

And you didn't get his motivation at all did you?

Transporter (or what's the title of that movie with Jason Stratham)

Best driving movie

He wants pikachu boyracer as his gf.
In a thread about driving movies? Yes I am.

So you admit you're autistic. K.

sorry for not loving your favorite anime

I don't care if people love it or not, you're just displaying your autism for everyone to see.

Duel

Wachowski's best imo. Matrix is barely their film.

For the horror entry.

This any good? It looks real cool.

Yes

It sucks big time

Well... this is confusing

i was to say this

2 and 3 are decent but thats all

Watch it and decide for yourself. it's good if you like 80's movies

It's 80's horror good.

Top ferrari

I do like 80's shit. If the chases are OK and the soundtrack's cool I'll like it. Literally downloaded it anyway.

What if I told you most people on this board are utterly stupid and have an incurable case of bad taste?

I'd tell you I've known that for years

There was few moies in history of cinema that was that shitty.

Dirty Mary Crazy Larry

C'etait un rendezvous
Easy rider if you're ok with a road movie as opposed to a strict driving movie
Rush
Get carter (not the remake) is pretty car-centric

He was lying to himself, much as everyone in the film is lying to themselves if you think of the cars as a way to escape death.

Why do driving flicks always have the most time capsule effect? It's odd how much the big car flicks of each decade encapsulate the time they are shot in, more so than many other genres.

Collateral

It has one of the best crash scenes in cinematic history, few films come close to the achievement of Taxi 2. The rest of the sequels were underwhelming, however.
