Mashups General

Are mashups the true genre of today Sup Forums?

Unlike crippled Internet-era experiments like vaporwave and witch house which happen to be absolutely irrelevant by now, mashups are still going and well, which was just proven by Neil's Mouth Moods this year and the SiivaGunner scene last year. It's clearly expanding day by day, and beginning to be treated more and more seriously.

C'mon guys. It's just so fun.

Also general mashup thread. Neil is not the only worthwile mashup artist afterall. I can drop sum personal recs if anyone wants

all music is shit
world should end already

Only comedy album that got me to genuinely laugh in a long time. Not really my thing, but I respect the hell out of it.

post away my guy, I only know of girl talk

is mouth moods good?

mouth moods is the gold standard for mashups

downloaded a bunch of instrumentals and acapellas instead of studying pre-law:

yeah, mouth moods is very good, altrough some would agree that mouth silence is better

some of my fav somewhat active mashup artists include:

Girl Talk's Night Ripper is honestly the best mashup album imo. I havent heard much othe rmash up albums besides Neil and GT, but it's just so fucking good.

Has anyone listened to The Avalanches's GIMIX mix? It has some of the songs frome Since I Left You and just starts mixing other songs with each other. Great listen imo.

occasionally this guy as well

something less hip-hop perhaps ?

forgot about this gem

this is quality

smija.bandcamp.com/ maybe?

this too but it's hip hop
isosine.bandcamp.com
hip hop is just the easiest too mashup because of simple beats, easily available stems and remarkable lyrics

Buttress O'Kneel seems to focus less on hip hop tho

yeah right

mashups are basically what djs do at night in clubs. fucking like it

also if you like weeb shit you should follow triple-q, he makes non-rap mashups often

and if you like game osts, well, there are lots of those

bump

most of it works with 2 songs per track just to make a point or a pun which makes it lose its welcome, i'm more fond of the busier style of mashup, and this is the gold standard for that:

if anyone's got a whole album of this type of shit then pls post

so the autists went from chipune to mashups huh

everything not totally mainstream is for autists

This is way better, guys. Mouth moods is cool and all, but this is seriously his best work.

b-but mashups are like 30 years old user
they're not a new thing, they're just having a reinessance

...

I FLY LIKE PAPER GET HIGH LIKE PAPER GET HIGH LIKE PAPER

aye, it's funny sometimes but i'm not sure if music should make me laugh

is this a mashup album or him singing and stuff?

say what you will about renard queenston but his truxton alias is great

Singing and stuff

singing and stuff. and it's fantastic. If 80's synthpop got a modern makeover(none of that awful and cheesy reverberated snare) to the 2010's

Unrelated,

How do I make it so that everyone time I post it doesn't autofill into a trip
