I luv steakbro

hi i'm new to /lbg/

>letterboxd.com/SwimmingPool/

Former Sup Forumstant
Just wanted to say to you filmbros
RYMs community is cancer
Letterboxd has nearly the same if not better functionality for film, and a much better community. I'm not counting you guys because I have no idea, but you're all probably much less horrible than those bratty imps.

Don't bother using Cinemos, and if you use RYM for film, then quit.

>he doesn't know

Outliers and picked cherries don't matter. Neither does the fact that there are trans users (I'm not from Sup Forums). What matters is that the majority of RYM users are pieces of shit, and Letterboxd has a very broad userbase and a system that isn't as rewarding to attention whores.

Where do you rank, /lbg/?

>tfw not there, and glad I'm not because I'd be called shit

...

what makes you like the second gits over the first? the second was garbage

what do I need to watch besides GitS - 1995 to understand that one?

this is so, so wrong

I wouldn't even bother with it, I'd watch the original feature, then the series called Stand Alone Complex which I believe is better than all the feature films.

letterboxd.com/machill54/

hope you boys have had a nice morning

what a chap!

>tfw USADA waiver

How can I be certain that MPC-HC is correcting for PAL speedup with ReClock, like it is advertised to? Anyone here use it?

It's OK when black people use steroids though.

letterboxd.com/jolawy/

What's the difference between god-tier and patrician? Why are they separate axes?

Harakiri is such a beautiful looking film.

one's for amount of movies and one's for taste

Daily reminder to watch more movies and stop being a big fat pleb.

There's so much to praise about it. The titular scene was very hard to watch, despite very little in the way of gore. I can't imagine a contemporary film handling it so well. I suppose if I were to make one criticism it would be that the fight scene at the end wasn't that great.

2nd from left looks like pure kino

Enjoyed in the name of the father and the conversation today, pretty good day

agreed

I hoped so but alas it was bad

the destructive, wavelike nature of grief as a communal experience that permeates every space we occupy, every movement we make & every interaction we have. kusama's formal grace is the obvious star here, the masterful staging, gestures & spatial awareness she shows off in particular, but as the film goes on & the screws tighten agonizingly slowly all the way until its haunting final image, kusama achieves something far beyond form -- her genre thrills deeply woven with a sense of the pervading, inescapable pain that, whether we're struggling to remember or forget, can blind us as easily as it brings us together.

Is this a review of Aeon Flux?

...

>Miami Vice is his favorite film
Why all the steakbro hate if he's a certified patrician?

>tfw all you've done is watch shitty action films all week
How do I get rid of this overwhelming urge to see everything, even ones that I know will be bad?

t. jackieray's boyfriends from the irc

Would this script make a good movie?

The last 3 films I've watched came out this year and sucked ass.

Anything decent from this year worth watching?

why bother watching those if you know they weren't going to be good?

NEON KINO WILL SAVE CINEMA

BvS(UE)

I work in a cinema. I get to watch them for 50c. I usually like to go with co-workers/mates after end of shift. At least it makes the terrible films bearable.

indiewire.com/2016/05/the-best-indie-movies-of-2016-so-far-according-to-the-criticwire-network-290098/

Some good ones there. Everybody Wants Some is my personal favorite of the year so far.

One must watch bad fims, tb.h

Got a ticket to see at MIFF on the 30th. Hopefully it'll be good.

Already seen it. It was a 5/10. Up from the 3/10 theatrical at least.

Thanks for the list. A lot of these are 2015 movies but still, there's some interesting ones to watch.

seed you cunts

PUNQ is in Yikes tier

13 hours and the mermaid

cuz he has a really bad taste

Worst taste in this thread? Worst taste in this thread.

Have seen 13 Hours (one of Bay's best, but still flawed), but will check out The Mermaid, thanks.

How is that a bad thing? I'm also making an effort to watch as little shit as possible, but what can I do, I enjoy mediocre movies as well.

Found none of these posts funny

Hey a lot of these are 2015 movies.

1st Gen LBG threads were best.

You newbies suck ass.

>expecting neo/lbg/ to not be shit

True, reflective of less shittier times for the whole board in '13- when it already was very decadent, btw.
And yet here you are.
And so am I.

I remember the turntable user, I remember

Turntable/irc ruined lbg

mistake

lbg ruined lbg

youtube.com/watch?v=xYaw5DzXiT4

nah

The threads used to be good/better, turntable was the tipping point

every time someone in one of the lbg fringe places is asked 'so what did you think of x movie' that's a post less in the thread actually talking about films (which in turn generates more talk about films)

I get it, even the "patricians" millenials/orwellians who use this crap are plebs

Nice falselfag discordfag

I forgot about discord

that also is ruining lbg, but really it's just these 'fringe ' lbg-groups that have made it worse over the years by existing

Small Soldiers was released 18 years ago today

will you be re-watching to celebrate this film becoming a man?

I saw it in the theatre on it's release and I wanted to like it but it's just not very good.

I saw it a while back but I enjoyed it then. I don't really care about that type of #auteur cinema though

>#auteur cinema
There's something wrong with having a distinct style now?

Good grief

That's not what I meant and I never said there was something wrong with it just that I didn't care about it.

no, no I will not

>That's not what I meant.
#auteur cinema comes off as a very condescending and shitpost-y remark about him having a very distinct style.

letterboxd.com/miar94/
told you to add me, you fuck

the human condition is extremely overrated
look at those average ratings

What are /lbg/'s favorite young actors?

...

Anton Yelchin, should have a good career ahead of him judging by his performance in green room

...

the guy was literally pitch perfect in everything he was in

the most tragic celebrity death of 2016 so far if you ask me

I'm on the fence watching the Star Trek films he was in. Did he have a large role or was he a supporting character?

>Outliers and picked cherries
The most liked review is from a tranny complaining that The Danish Girl isn't politically correct enough despite it being about a tranny in the 1920s.
>system that isn't as rewarding to attention whores
Over the course of 4 years, pic related was the only update.

I think you should watch one of the good movies he was in instead

>1st Gen LBG threads were best.
