Dumb and Dumber?

Paranormal Activity

Fred: The Movie

Does anyone want to watch it in the theatre with me when it comes out? :3

...

I still have nightmares

Go watch Tomie by Junji Ito.
And Japanese horror in general is good. Ofc, older ones are cheesy as hell, but Japanese horror relies on atmosphere rather than jumpscares... So its a better quality film.

Also, go read horror manga. Good shit there.

Not really a typical horror, but Antichrist was good.

Rigor Mortis.

I am 2 afraid, especially since I am familiar with the mangas. Need someone brave or afraid to watch it with

Ernest Goes to Camp

the collector
martyrs
the exorzist
shaun of the dead (horror + comedy)
what we do in the shadows (horror + comedy)
tucker & dale vs evil (horror + comedy)

you must see everyone of them

The Babadook. Very suspenseful

Movie was absolute shit

The shining
Cape fear
Taxo driver
The omen ( Gregory Peck)
It

Start a stream with rabb.it or something. Make a thread and link it.
Boom. People to watch with.

The Witch. Now, this ain't your typical horror film. It's not about jump scares or creepy girls with long black hair lurking in the shadows. The horror is in the dread and despair of the situation, plus it's atmospheric as fuck. Just watch it.

Honestly I disagree, I feel like the story is too rushed to build up proper suspense, and it gets fucked up after those random jumpscares.
It's a good movie if you can't handle scary things tho

evil dead 2
creep show

This is a really hard question. See after you turn 12 or so and all the magic in the world dies the idea of "horror" films goes with it. I have not seen a good horror film in the past 30 years that is even worth mentioning. However the top of the list is probably paranormal activity; just the first one and only watch it once. If you watch it more than once you will find out that it is a pretty dumb movie, like most horror films. The Witch" is what i would call a smart horror film but it comes off as being really dry. The original "Haunting" was a pretty decent movie but just an ok horror film. I have never seen "Alien" as a horror film though a lot of people tend to put that on the list. To me it has always been an action film Just because the prospect is scary does not mean the film is automatically a horror film; for example "Die Hard" or "Mad Max" are not horror films but the idea of what is going on in the movies is terrifying if it were real and happening to you.

Fright Night 1985

Ringu fucked me up when I first saw it. I watched it late at night on my own and it genuinely frightened me.

Junji ito.

Here this is 6 mins long and scarier than any horror movie. I truly believe scary shit is strictly short form

I will agree that Ringu is much better than The Ring and that Ju-On was better than The Grudge, I have to say the way that Japanese stories are told is off-putting enough to ruin any sort of horror aspect. They are told in a non linear fashion, which is not a matter of being dumb or smart, but it is different enough to throw off the intent of the movie.

Devil

Jacobs ladder, Nosferatu (Klaus Kinski) called Vampyr in murrica, Martyrs, High Tension, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974

Meh, the girl's reaction is not believable and the use of music was cliched. Didn't find it scary tbh.

Dont breathe is good

really? that movie sucked the shitring off my toilet

Not that one

>shaun of the dead (horror + comedy)
>tucker & dale vs evil (horror + comedy)
The Best!

b8 of low quality

Does this count as horror? Is torture porn horror? Scared me well enough not to continue watching, maybe one day when I am brave.

Jacob's Ladder.

Some people consider The Godfather horror movie. Mike Patton had a Cd of all horror movie music.
