Pet Sounds > Blonde on Blonde > TVU&N >>>>>>>>>> Forever Changes
Rubber Soul = Revolver > At Folsom Prison > Electric Ladyland
who hurt you
you think the 60s only produced three albums above a 6/10?
>Johnny Cash live
>One of the four best albums of the 60s
>Not even Live at San Quentin, which is in every way superior to At Folsom Prison
Absolutely disgusting opinion.
Pet Sounds > The Velvet Underground and Nico > Live/Dead > In a Silent Way
Revolver is better than all of those pieces of shit albums lol
anyone else here have a spiritual experience every time they listen to you set the scene
>Not even Blues For Allah, pls poser.
ITCOTCK > TVU > A Love Supreme > Pet Sounds
all near 10s
*blocks your path*
>The Velvet Underground and Nico
i respect your opinions besides this. it's just noise record cast off as"experimental" and shouldn't be anywhere near a top albums list, let alone above the greatest guitarist of all time playing every single hit
most overrated shite ever
I'm not a big fan of Bowie but his debut album rocks
Also, Beach Boys > Beatles in my opinion.
>Blues for allah
>From the 60s
>Even if it were in the 60s, anywhere near as good as Live/Dead
I cordially invite you to actually listen to the Grateful Dead, or else to shut your dumb fucking mouth before you infect us with your ineffective invective
>it's just noise record cast off as"experimental" and shouldn't be anywhere near a top albums list
u sound quite ignorant of history
also i'm sick of people being threatened by the word(s) experimental and avant-garde on this board
Banana > Blurry Face Man > Colourful Hippie Faces > Men with Goats
...
Fucking love this album, it really grew on me since i started listening to it, it doesn't receive the love it should.
>Also, Beach Boys > Beatles in my opinion
Mike Love > The Beatles > Shit > The Beach Boys
In my opinion
this
...
Calling it a "noise" record ignores the lyricism which underpins the album. Noise implies incoherence, as opposed to music, which implies coherence; though the music of TVU&N may teeter on the brink of the former, as in European son, the Black Angel's Death Song, or Heroin, the narratives which drive the songs and indeed the album forward are of startling (for then) specificity, poetic force, and realism. The strict dichotomy between the music and the narrative was one they would explore to its fullest on White Light/White Heat's the Gift, but ultimately where the disintegration set itself off the meaning of the narrative, most famously with Heroin, a new mode of pop music storytelling was born.
I can respect that you don't enjoy it as a record, but it is nonetheless a contender for the most influential records of all time, and to call it "noise" simply doesn't square with the beauty of songs like Sunday Morning or Femme Fatale.
Electric Ladyland > Are You Experience > Axis Bold as Love
Little Wing is still by far his best song though
Electric lady Land (loose ends version) > Castles Made of Sand > Little wing
None of those are The Notorious Byrd Brothers, wtf?
Only right answer. Mike Love is love
