Sup Forums I'm working my ass off at my job and wondering if the pay is worth it.

Post age and income so I can feel better

26 yrs making $66,560/year

21 yrs making $33,000 :(

19 making $54,000 a year. That's the most I'll make here if I stay though so.

21 $19,000/year

31 y/o at $74K. Will double in two years, then jump again in about 4 (still in post-doctoral education)

28 $126.900

30 making $30,000

This, right here, is potentially interesting

125k to 150k a year.
But I'm 49 and lurk /b so there's that.

I manage a fencing company and its practically one of the only ones around here. I make a decent chunk of change for it.

21 $960/year FeelsBadMan

and paying 10k to school per year :(

32
84k plus benefits

23
$26,400
Fucking go to college

>working my ass off

What does that entail exactly? How many hours a week? Do you work odd hours, do you have to take your work home with you?

I'm 34 making 50K plus full benifits (health life dental and they match whatever I put into my retirement fund up to like 25% of my pay). I'm a lab tech at a biotech company. It's a technical job but low stress and I don't have to take it home with me etc. I work 8AM to 5PM, then clock out and don't worry about shit.

I would like more money, but my stress level is basically zero right now. I make enough money to meet all my needs and still have money for vacations, hobby etc.

30 years an $90k.

But the thing people always forget in these threads is that $60k in Arkansas is $90k in Texas is $130k in DC. Comparing across markets (even within a single industry) is difficult.

Yeah

I'm this user
I live in Kansas just outside Kansas city. The living costs here are pretty low. Making 50K in KC is like making 150K in California or New York.

I live with my GF and we rent a 3 bedroom house with a garage, full back yard with a patio for just over $1,000 a month. That wouldn't get me a studio apartment in New York.

that

40 200k

26, Around 30k ehh

I make salary and definitely work at least 60 hours a week. And yes work comes home. I'm an engineer for a tech support team so not physically demanding, but mentally tasking and that's what draining me.
$66,560 + sweet benefits - copay is practically nothing and match 401k.

anywhere from 60k and up is decent if you're single or even have a girlfriend without a family. I make 35k a year and I have a family at the age of 23. But there's plenty of potential at my work to easily make 60k and still be lazy as fuck. Just gotta wait a few more years.

28 years old making 70k/year but maplebucks so I might as well be destitute. Also paying child support out my ass.

God I want to die.

But you live in Kansas

You can get exactly the same, but in Utah. Which is Colorado/california/mormon all mixed into one. It's great here.

>inb4 hurr durr mormons
They made this state amazing and extremely livable. There's HARDLY any ghetto races here, and if you're a racist, there's hardly any blacks here. Hispanics are the biggest minority and they're hella chill here in Utah.

27 making 51k with great benefits and 120 hours of paid vacation a year. And I only work 14 days a month

22 making upwards of $110,000. I work in the oilfield industry on a rig

It ain't a bad gig. It's easygoing, at the very least.

How is that? I was considering doing it for a few years maybe. Or maybe just like 2

It's tough work not meant for everyone. It will break your body within two decades and it is overrun with rednecks buying expensive toys and doing really terrible drugs. If you do, you will make a lot of money working 12 hour days, 6-7 months a year. Usually on a rotation 3 weeks on 7 days a week, 1 week off. It is rewarding though if you can handle some of the heaviest labor in the world.

26 85k/yr

21 just graduated 20k/month, first job offer. Planning to continue my studies while working to get paid double or more in 2 years.

Tell your kids to study harder than you.

Can you give me a quick run down of what a 12 hour day is like? Whats the actual physical part of the work?
