The fact that we can't even consistently shitpost a thread to bump limit even is PATHETIC lads, we're a sorry excuse for a general.

Bump. I guess no copypasta OP this time.

There's one thing he was and that is underrated.

beyyonce (underrated)

So its confirmed that Mozart isn't underrated right?

I've felt the same way after bogposting here on /classical/. I've always had a Bach bust on my piano and I have always studied avidly his scores. Bogposting felt like insulting my father, or at least it was pretty close to that.

Any hope of finding out that background music?

Liszt - Les Preludes

Mozart underraters should be sent to the gulag desu

pizzazold

>iib6/4 - V
>aka Ab/Eb - D (in G)
Is there a name for this?

>bogposting
Fucking kill yourself you piece of scum

it was a 200CD box set, counted as a single release it would be nowhere near beyonce

A flat would be the Neapolitan chord and D would be the dominant in G. Not sure if thats what you were looking for though

is that Mac DeMarco

I know what the chords are, I was just wondering if that's a half-cadence that has been used before, and what it might be called.

fuck off

And of course it's all masturbating around I - IV - V too, yaaaaaaawn

I
doo doo doo
IV

V
niiini dooo niini

I did it literally once and I felt dirty afterwards.

>I can finally play Bach's, Mozart's and Schumann's pieces for children

Feels ecstatic.

True Tbh

...

That's just mechanical skill, my friend. What really matters (the interpretation) is worthless when it comes to kids.
Keep practicing.

I used too much pedal.

interpretations are actually garbage and literally just a degenerate romantic pretension.

This is why I don't listen to music and only read scores

You're just interpreting scores with your head.

But there was probably some actual, mature feeling in your playing. The mechanical skill will come with practice, your age does not matter.

I still don't know this feel.

>learn Schumann Op 86 no. 5
>check for other performances on youtube
>find a asian kid
>tfw I already play it better than him

post neat scores

>and literally just a degenerate romantic pretension.
interpretative performing goes back to classical and baroque eras, though. even more so since scores were not littered with specific concrete instructions regarding tempi and dynamics, vast majority of scores back then did not utilize metronome markings, etc.

literalism has its roots from the romantic era because that's when composers became increasingly autistic about how they wanted their works performed.

i mean its a Half cadence, but you be missing on messing around with it more as it sounds really unresolved. Holst uses it and it definitely used in Aaron coplands music

>hurr I'm autistic
Fuck I'm sorry to hear that user.
youtube.com/watch?v=m3ZcDvoxCpA

any critiques for those of use writing in the genre?

trade-schools.net/articles/trade-school-jobs.asp

Listening to incredibly formulaic and emotionless music sounds like more of an autist thing rather than disliking said music.

Handel

>incredibly formulaic and emotionless
>hmm yes *tips glasses* according to my calculations *wipes grease off face* the creative ornamentations and the extremely embellished cadenzas *fiddles with fingerless gloves* don't achtschually count as "emotional" *adjusts fedora*

Kek

dude i dont shit on your parade, just want feed back lmao

actually funny

Embellish it all you want, it's still just glitter on a turd.

you are extremely autistic senpai

I just hate I-IV-V progressions and major keys user, which sadly is the basis for several centuries of classical music.

You're proving your autism right now btw.

>weeb calling others autistic

>Schumann had no formal education and still managed to compose this youtube.com/watch?v=PU97k1_K3SE&t

what the fuck
how did he do that?

Brah that progression IS Western music, I know where you're coming from and you can have your reservation and think that, but just HAPPENS to follow the known conventions of music written in treaties does not mean in inherritanly "Bad". 100 years from now people will think Glass will be "outdated" but will still be respected as their interpretation of music. you've triggered my autism congratz

Pick the superior fighter.

What would you prefer then? What chord progression sounds best to you?

Racmaninoff is a big guy.

That progression is royal, church and elite society music, the music of the actual people has always been modal.

Bach could manhandle all of those manlets by sheer mass alone

>Rach
>manlet

I prefer modal music or at least music with an interesting tonal language. Equal temperament fucking ruined western music.

depends on the definition of "formal"
look youre not wrong but Sup Forums is not the battle ground where I would lie to get into the idosynchies of how you NOT right but NOT wrong. In the example yes of course its formal, but there are countless exaples of that prgoression not being used by the "elite"

>modal music
Major and minor keys are modes.
>Equal temperament fucking ruined western music
But equal temperament allows composers to modulate and use chords other than I, IV, and V, that you claim to hate.

>b*gposter secretly worships Bach
Kinda sad actually. : (
