>tfw paddez is down so i have to use tapmusic with their terrible resolution
Man i really need to check out Pinata, seems up my alley.
Do you like Lush? Seems to be something you might like

>He hasn't listened to Pinata yet
Listen to it TONIGHT senpai, it's one of the best hip-hop albums of the 2010s

++Quas, FKA Twigs, Royksopp, Madvil, Ka
- Thundercat

Do it, Pinata is greatness, Madlib's take on mafioso rap.

Yes i like Lush.

+BOC, ride, velvet undergound, sigur ros, slowdive
+mbv, slowdive

I know that feel
Lush is good but I can never get into Split, always liked Gala and Lovelife more for some reason.

thenewno2 - You Are Here

favorite mew album?

frengers
are you hyped for the new album?

>always liked Gala and Lovelife more for some reason.
tried listening to Lovelife earlier today actually but after that first track i had to turn it off. Straight garbage. Is the rest of the album any different?

+ shabbaz palaces, gibbs
FKA

500 and I've Been Here Before are pretty good songs (at least instrumentally, lyrics are a bit cheesy). I can see why people would hate the album though, guess I like it because my history of listening to Britpop a few years ago caught up to me when I started listening to Lush.

ok, will give it another chance during the weekend. Is there even any shoegaze/dream pop stuff on the album or is it all britpop?

idk about hyped but i am looking forward to it.

Frengers is my favorite as well, though I do like Glass Handed Kites even though it has one of the worst album covers ever.

pretty much straight Britpop

listen to Hiro Yanagida - Milk Time

>M83 Dead Cities

My nigga. In my top 5, honestly. Truly a gem.

I suggest you check out M83's Before the Dawn Heals us. Not as psychedelically layered, but has a HUGE spacious sound. Sounds like the beginning/end of the universe. Especially the song Lower Your Eyelids to Die with the Sun.

Thx I'll check it out. Wtf happened between Dead Cities and him going full pop?

One of the founding members left. The man that took it a more Shoegazy direction.
But even after he left, there is still great material in M83's discog. Even if you don't like the full album, many songs from Hurry Up are god-tier. The song Wait... is one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. The Intro/Outro is great, and I like some of their more 80's dancy songs too.

That being said, most people who love Dead Cities also loved Before the Dawn Heals Us. I think if you heard Lower Your Eyelids, you'd be pretty hooked. But listen to the whole thing.

Does anyone know how to fix Last.fm not scrobbling on mobile?

what are you using to stream, you could try deleting and reinstalling the app

youtube.com/watch?v=ylGUJ5g93K0

Weird thing happens every time I try to listen to Black Up - I get interrupted and have to stop it :@. But the first tracks are good. Also that album you linked sounds solid, but eh, I'm not on a rap wave atm bruh

I am using Black Music player, I'll try that once I am able. thanks

ahahah I know this dude from Huzzah. But his solo version, which was way better than the clusterfuck cringefest that featured el-p. Also Telephuck is a nice track

he's got some cool stuff but his mixtapes always have some terrible songs.

fair enough.

Trying out Apple Music, and since I have a low amount of storage, this shit is so fucking useful to get at a lot of albums. What y'all think?

Honestly, a lot of people on here think they're a meme, but I love Nirvana. Super important musical response to the direction rock music was taking; what with all of the shitty hair metal bands. Brought rock back to its roots. And tons of great music came out of it.

Hihi :3

oops

I read 'Heavier than Heaven' lately, it got me back on my Nirvana senses again. Bleach is underrated, imo.

hehe :3

I just started listening to Pinata. I'm 3 songs in, when does it get good?

For your FYI, I'm not really a rap fan.

What makes this good? Not trying to be funny here.

I can understand not liking the lyrics if you aren't a rap fan. The instrumentation and production is incredible and pulls from a ton of different places.

Freddie's flow is also top notch and he is like a metronome on the beat. It's a Mafioso rap album.

+Sonic Youth, Butthole Surfers, Ride, Street Sects, American Football, Gorillaz, ~Dead Milkmen, Red House Painters, Destroyer, -Magnetic Fields, Jesus and Mary Chain, Young Thug
reccing Mission of Burma, Rat at Rat R, Live Skull, The Skull Defekts

well, you have Dopesick in the list, so it's an automatic 10/10. Led Zeppelin brings it down a little bit, but the Houdini then compensates. I don't even know the other albums but am curious. What are the three above EHG? Actually interested, considering your other picks.

...

>
Maybe, maybe I'll pay more attention to it. The only rap I've ever gotten into have been the legends, early Eminem, BIG, Nas, Wu-Tang... mostly white guy rap, I know. So my expectations are to hear stuff like that...

but expectations will always let me down.
