ITT: albums made by excellent artists that aren't even that good, but are hailed as such because they are the only album by said artist that most people have heard

...

What should I listen to next by him?

I can agree that they are not the best, but they are pretty excellent.

nothing cause if you don't love it, you won't care about the rest

The Great Santa Barbara Oil Slick

I liked it though

Meh, ItCotCK just didn't click with me.
On the other hand, though, Discipline? ItWoP? Immediately clicked.

...

All their albums except On Every Street are better

...

I strongly disagree with pic. Even if you don't particularly like this album it's general consensus that it's good among even the most avid KC fans. I'm still going through their catalogue but so far it's still my fave. I love me some prog and this is their most proggy album.

>ItWoP clicked and ITCOTCK didn't
Weird, they might be the two most similar KC albums. But honestly ITCOTCK, the song, is one of their best. That said, LTIA is the GOAT

What kind of a fucking asshole talks like this??

>dadrock

...

True, this isn't even a top 5 KC album

...

Big Black - Songs About Fucking

wow you're actually right OP

maybe i should listen to their other shit

hm

Honestly for Radiohead I'd say Pablo Honey
It's their most normie album, and many haven't heard much beyond it

One of their only good albums along with Kid A and Amnesiac

fuck you OP Court of the Crimson King is great

If they're good then why is 1/2 of their music bad in your opinion lol

This but without the "excellent artists" part

>only listening to studio albums

It really is a fantastic album as all of them are, but I feel like s/t might be my favorite.

...

>implying half of the music championed here isn't old as shit by now
>Implying dadrock isn't best rock

lol what a faggot

>implying rock music isn't dog shit

>(you)

...

i don't listen to rock or rap, they just sound like shit to me

Literally the best large scale genre.

Here's your reply.

their new stuff is much better

rather listen to classical if I'm going for a "large scale genre", whatever the fuck that means

1. Discipline
2. Larks' Tongues in Aspic
3. Islands
4. Starless and Bible Black
5. Red
6. ITCOTCK

Prove me wrong.

Goo by Sonic Youth would be the classic example.

Your taste is shit.

Prove me wrong.

F#A# too

you're a retard, you know that?

no u

eccojams is the only real vaporwave

Not him, but how is it shit? Seems pretty reasonable to me- not only does it have their objective best albums Discipline and LTIA, but Islands, a criminally underrated yet near-perfect album in my opinion, is on there too. The only things I would change is perhaps switch Red and In The Court, switch Islands and Discipline, and maybe add Lizard somewhere.

eccojams is hypnagogic pop, which is still a relatively pure genre
mac plus is real vaporwave and so is pic related

literally the opposite
supermodel could have been so much better

Everyone says they like this even though it's half filler.
