Toby: Captain Picard would never cheat

Toby: Captain Picard would never cheat.
Kevin: Hellooooo. Without Captain Kirk, there would be *no* Picard.
George: Yeah, but Captain Janeway--
Kevin and Toby: Shuuuuut up!

A show I love dearly which I think has the potential to be half decent if it were ever to be brought back. Oakley and Weinstein dope af

Penis penis penis

>Oh Kevin, we're as close as an elderly gay man and a straight teenage boy can be

Why are Gus and Wally the best gay characters that have ever been on screen

>there will never be new episodes
>you will never see kevin in college and andy becoming a famous cartoonist

...

DON'T YOU BE TALKING ABOUT MY MOTHERBOARD!!!

Great theme song

That hurts

>MAAAN HE WUZ IN THERE SPANKIN IT

many keks where had

>That's it you two, I'm pulling this car over right now
>*unzip*what, don't let me stop your fighting

I wanna get a 40oz in honor of my fictional kindred spirit Andy French, but Maestro doesn't exist. What's the best alternative?

That episode where they got Kevin drunk was pretty good animated kee-no

Well I'll be honest. I'm 22 and have only recently gotten into Star Trek. One of the things that excite me are finally getting the endless references in pretty much every other show in existence. Oh, and TOS > TNG. Only seen a season of both though.

Steel reserve or axehead

TNG improves significantly after Season 2.

This show might be the comfiest in existence. Its a shame that it would be practically impossible to bring back.

Mission Hill, Dr. Katz, and The Life & Times of Tim are the holy trinity.

But then there's King of the Hill...

>you will never live in a comfy apartment in Mission Hill

Why was she so perfect, bros?

That voice.

One of the reasons I got into a serious relationship was because my girl told me off a la Gwen and that for some reason got to me. Is fun having a girl with some backbone, makes the fights a lot more fun and rewarding.

It wouldn't work now, it was hipster the show, before you had heard about hipsters. It could be post ironic, unironically. I don't think you can capture that same feel today without it being entirely too self aware.

Mission Hill was about hipsters (well the older characters. Kevin and his friends are clear-cut nerds) but there was no irony at all. It was a very sincere show.

Just in case someone isn't aware, some of the scripts for the unmade episodes have been made available.

Did someone say Borchmore?

WE'VE GOT FIRE
WE'VE GOT WHEEL
WE'VE GOT CAVEMAN SEX APPEAL

Here's episode 16's storyboard. It's practically a full episode.

>the best episode of the series winds up being an unfinished animatic with people laughing at the jokes
so unfair.

>Three squares a day and all the gay sex you can handle!
>Now Gus, Kevin does not want to hear about your Navy days!

This show had such great writing it's criminal it was cancelled.

Yep. They actually had a dynamic other than "we're the gay couple!"

They were funny as fuck too.

I can't really think of a bad character on the show, besides maybe Posey who wasn't bad but unfortunately seemed to get the short end of the stick plotwise.

What was this guys problem?

Interesting I've never seen people who claim to want more gay characters ever mention these ones. Didn't they have the first gay kiss on TV?

Posey trying to find her inner self/tranquility was pretty kino though

>OH THATS JUST FRANKENSTEIN

Stop your fussin'

>Didn't they have the first gay kiss on TV?
wasn't that on Thirtysomething?

he was a faggot

>that one frame of Ronald McDonald

I'm seeing a few mentions of the Simpsons or Picket Fences, but it's hard to tell because Simpsons wasn't a kiss between two gay men in a relationship and was more for comedy I believe.

That's what I mean though. I don't think it works when we've crested the hipster wave. It couldn't have that same sincerity with the same characters. I loved the show and it was super comfy, but it wouldn't survive a comeback.

but Beavis & Butt-Head had a great comeback (while it lasted at least)

>ever mention these ones.

Gus and Wally are both average/ugly, fight and argue, don't have a invincibility shield for criticism (like Kevin calling Gus a big homo), and they never push their life style on anyone/constantly battle to be accepted.

My favorite actress voiced in this show. I think.

Yep. She was Weirdy.

damn I always thought she was Miss Peck.

Ya can't buy the cheap condoms, the cheaper ones just FLY RIGHT OFF!

Hey wait a minute: If Gus and Wally were monogamous, as we should assume, why did they need condoms?

Easier clean up?

There wasn't any problem. That's just him.

Oh, cool! Just for an episode if I remember correctly.

HOW DID THIS NOT GET MADE INTO AN EPISODE!!!

don't worry. if it got made that bit would most likely have been cut for time.

Who here has actually fapped to Posey?

not me. her hairline confused me. Gwen > George's sister > Miss Peck > Weirdy > Tobey's mom > Posey

Don't forget Shelly.

Is there a good torrent for this series? The one I got has commentary for every second episode.

it's called youtube.com

Well, hes a broke ass unemployed dude, so either Olde English 800 or Steel Reserve

Or if you think hes a proto-hipster, a 40 of Pabst Blue Ribbon (yes they exist)

I went with this.

Do those have the dvd or broadcast audio

You remembered to get bugles right

DVD I believe, if you're referring to the generic sound-alikes in place of third party music.

unlike Daria this doesn't kill the show for me

dammit

You had one job user

6% ABV might be good if you're gonna drive the kids to soccer practice after, but on the west coast OE is 7.5%, making it the favorite of poor blacks and hipsters alike

why would hipsters need to be that drunk?

Have you heard some of the shit hipsters listen to?

I tried listening to Death Grips once and turned it off after thirty seconds. Does that count?

Hipster music is trash

but the hipster music in Mission Hill was ska. is ska trash?

Does Gordon Lightfoot do any ska?

Ska fuckin rules

No. Ska is great.

KEK

death grips is good

Most ska is good

Gordon Lightfoot is a fag

what's the best ex-Simpsons writers series: Mission Hill, The Critic or Futuruama?

I submit The Critic: youtube.com/watch?v=xslyoK9uobE

>Gordon Lightfoot is a fag
>praises Death Grips
I bet you hate Kris Kristofferson too. You're the faggot, bud.

>comparing gordon lightfoot to based kris

Send me a DM and i'll fly you from anywhere in the world to my city and fight you in a boxing ring.

I'm waiting nancyboy

Pro tip: Andy would have got priced out of his Mission Hill (which is based on Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood) apartment by 2005. People who live in his apartment now are yuppies with no personality.

186 Franklin St. Bloomfield, NJ # 8

Why don't you come to my neighborhood? If you're not afraid to leave mommy's basement that is

Gus talks about that in the mtv episode

Even stomping your face in wouldn't be worth going to New Jersey for

you're gonna have a hard time stomping anything with a broken foot.

My feet are both perfectly fine, though....

In fact, I have an ankle holster on right now

Ya cheap gay bastard! These are gonna fly right off!

I think you can find both versions available on YouTube. From my own personal experience of rewatching the episodes on there, I believe the older ones have the licensed music intact. Long as the trade off in video quality doesn't put you off.

No, but Silly Rabbit is pretty based.

>you'll never have a best friend as based as Jim

Did he deserve it?

...

If mission hill had got a second season, what were the chances that Kevin got a gf? What about

Jim?

>1999 was the high point of life in America and it is never, ever coming back

youtube.com/watch?v=QrsgB1_spTg

Perfect example of a joke where the punchline is silence. It takes self-awareness and class to think of/pull off a joke like this

>Oh, and TOS > TNG
Aye, that's a good lad

The art in this show really was 10/10

So, he was high?

came here to post this

Part of the reason it's funny is because they couldn't say he was high on network television, but it's safe to assume that the character always is
